just saw a post saying hbo joel had to learn how to do sarah's hair and now i'm thinking about syat again (time for another reading i guess 🤭)

HONEY I THINK ABOUT THIS ALL THE TIMEEEEEE like joel miller took out books from the library. joel miller very shyly and with great embarrassment asked the very kind librarian who he thought might have a similar hair texture to sarah’s where to look for the best styles / products to take care of his kid’s hair. joel miller sat for hours on weeknights with sarah on the floor between his knees with his Concentrating Frown wrestling his big rough hands into something gentle for her, snapped hair elastics everywhere from stretching them too wide, so her hair would be done and out of her face for school. joel miller spent all the money he could getting her the right hair products and then the ones with smells she liked. I COULD SCREAM ABT THIS FOREVER!!! so touched you thought of syat w such a sweet subject :,,) thank you for this love it made me giggly <3

What kind of sorcery did you put in See you at three? I had to finish the story in about three days because I couldn't stop reading. And your Joel? I'll never recover from how well you write him. I don't have words good enough to tell you how attached I got to everyone in the fic, I'll just tell you I bawl like a damn baby at the end of every chapter

Oh Freya, I've read the last chapter of syat and I had to come here. I love your other works too of course, but this story has a special place in my heart. I love the way tenderness lies in every corner of this story. Whether it's Joel caring for his daughter, Sarah and Ellie being friends or Nelle and Joel quietly adoring each other (since they don't like big gestures). Thank you for giving us this treasure, reading it always brings me comfort.

I can't believe Swept Away it's almost over, it makes me cry. I've been reading it religiously since the first chapter, now it feels like the end of a journey. I'm not ready to let it go :((
