hi! so, yes, but also no. dellyharls is a critical case of me building a mountain from a molehill. i'm insane about them, seeing visions, etc etc, you know how it is. and also, crucially, there's basically nothing to work from but Vibes™ . which. unfortunately. is the kind of thing that appeals to me Especially right now as i'm trying to strengthen my own personal Creation skills.
anyway - MOST of the stuff they're in together is from their Texas Stars days! i say this but i also missed approx everything the Dallas Stars posted so who the hell knows. maybe they're buried in there somewhere. my instagram always crashes before i can get far enough to confirm

in their TX Stars day, u'll notice pretty quick that they were in each other's periphery more often than not (delly attached himself to felly pretty hard - side note. devastating that we did not get the story of felly dodging that wrench. hello?? & harls was/is close with gleas! to the degree that he was in gleason's wedding party this summer. doesn't help that their call-ups to the big show often separated them) <- if u doubt my ability to thrive like a weed in concrete, know that i am actively spinning narratives about this separation as well. i'm honestly surprised based on vibes alone that delly and gleason weren't closer esp since they seemed to roll together on the ice a LOT.

this is actually an exceptionally rare occurrence lmao. i mostly just keep all my thoughts inside.
"You're bullying Delly." this coming from tharls. of it's a mean world fame. IMO a critical piece of their dynamic lies here, as evidenced by the fight i routinely go insane about. in fact, two of the three fights tharls has had in his professional career (excluding his singular OHL fight) were either for delly or with him. (neither of them are good fighters; notably, the only fight tharls does passably well in is the one where he takes exception to bisson's hit on delly.)

anyway what a wild amount of nothing that happened tonight! have some screenshots from my dellyharls chatfic, in which they are both gameless and Bad At Sexting
Took me a second to figure out what this was referencing bc I am Internet Explorer manifest BUT extremely long story (hopefully not an extremely long story, actually) very short: around the time of his trade, Delly started sadposting Luke Combs songs ("Doin' This", specifically) and when faced with a guy who can't imagine life without something, I am consumed with the need to take it from him.
Anyway the office horror AU features a) DellyHarls(Wyjo) (Sales/Accounting/Marketing respectively, is what I think I've settled on) b) labyrinthian hallways that will mirror Delly's mental state, and c) a possibly rude thing I will be doing to Delly to remove even beer league hockey from his day-to-day. So, psych horror more than anything. And also Tharls is the ball of string and Wyjo is the minotaur, for reasons that are tenuously clear in my own head and will continue this way until I spend more time with them.

anyway all you really need to know and all there Is to know is that a) i am insane about dellyharls roughly 3-5 years late, b) delly said he would be a teacher if he wasn't skating, and c) tharls has teacher vibes PEER REVIEWED
i just think the chaos you get in the AHL with so many players in different stages of life/development would create a really fun vibe for a teaching AU... and then delly and harls can kinda gravitate towards each other....... glea in the foreground watching while dellyharls glance off each other until everything starts to make sense and then they smooch and fall in love or whatever. possibly also featuring insane roommate situations because i can Mix And Match and ignore what little we do know about who actually did live with who because it's my sand castle and i can do what i want
so i opened up the delly office horror doc (technically a dellyharls feature, although it's primarily a tydel character study) and hurt my own feelings. tharls is doing his best to add some levity. it is what it is.
