i don't care if you have no interest in playing hi3. there's nothing wrong with that. but without kiana kaslana, the games with your favorite husbandos wouldn't exist so yall need to put some respect on her name.

on one hand, i sorta understand why some people are upset about kamano being an A rank. he's been a character that we've come to know fairly well and the fandom (me included) has been hyped for his release.

on the other hand, everyone wants more A ranks until their fave ends up being one.

love miyabi so much like the prodigy trope is tired i get it. but also, in her case, it's done so well, because the writers balance miyabi's talent and skill by making her horrendously bad at basically every other relelvant skill. she sucks at the paperwork and the logistical side of running a special operations team, can't pay attention at meetings (if she attends or remembers that they're happening), and isn't particularly good at PR. hell, her sense of direction outside of battle is so bad that she gets lost more often than not when going out by herself.

miyabi being painfully average to below average in every other aspect is something she openly acknowledges. it's precisely why she is where she is now. since fighting was her only noteworthy skill, she spent years honing it to protect others.

it really was a self fulfilling prophecy. her mother didn't want her to become a hero, because she wanted to shield miyabi from the pain of sacrifice so she could live a happy life. however, her mother's sacrifice to ensure miyabi lived drove her to want to help people.

miyabi wants to protect them from experiencing the pain she once did, and her drive to protect others lead her to becoming a hero. and that's what makes her feel fulfilled. having the ability to help others and bring more justice to an unfair world makes her happy.

i was reminded of the fact that fu hua is canonically a gacha gamer and it's so funny to me. i love it so much and that's the one thing about wild phoenix chase that still pisses me off to this day. bc why on earth did they make her act like such a clueless boomer when it came to cellphones and technology. fu hua would know how to operate a phone!! like she would not need senti to teach her how to scan a QR code bro

okay y'all want a genuine critique of this design? because the real issue with this design is that removing the cape also removes any visual interest. from what i understand, removing the cape is supposedly a part of her gameplay. and if that's the case, then the layer of clothing underneath should be just as visually interesting. it's just not though??

she loses her interesting silhouette, the balance of light and dark color, and the variety of geometric shapes and patterns that draw the eye. it has nothing to do with her being fanservice, in my opinion, and everything to do with the fact that she's just boring to look at now. if they gave her a bodysuit or something to break up the empty space and carry over the same design elements, this design would be pretty solid. i actually love the way the coat/cape looks, so i'd be disappointed if it goes away when you actually play with her.
