it’s interesting…the prophecy says “3 heroes stand at WORLDS’” edge, as in plural worlds, but then “the WORLD will be saved” . I think that the prophecy that Ralsei and Susie are so freaked out by in chapter four is an extension of that: it’s explicitly saying the heroes will have to choose between the light and dark worlds.

I think that in the weird route you’ll end up sealing all fountains permanently, and then the world is technically saved but you’ve destroyed countless lives by closing off the dark worlds, and ruined your friendships with the lightners. Meanwhile in the normal route, you find a way to bring both worlds to coexist.
