Chapter´s 3 and 4 are just in 61 days!

Well, just 61 days away from the real deal, but that won´t stop me from making more fan designs for Chapter 3 and 4´s bosses!

This is a list of every new boss darkener in my deltarune chapter 3 take!

I be giving a summary of each of the characters above from left to right, below

Scare E:

Scare E got her name by looking... well, Scary!

She's actually quite polite and well mannered

Her appearance often frightens other darkeners away, makes sense considering she can take off her own head

However Tenna sees her frightening appearance and gives her a great opportunity

She now stars in several dark world horror films

Her light world object is a ripoff lego person

Chefstago:

The fantastic and slightly crazy sous chef

Chefstago snaps if anyone ruins his masterfully made dishes

The other chefs both respect and fear him

He's the only one allowed to make meals for Rook

He once sold 1 thousand cook books in a day

When Spamton was still permitted in the tv world, he tried to make a deal with Chefstago, unfortunately since Chefstago is crazy, he misinterpreted the deal and ended up charging Spamton for 1 thousand cook books

He's a snail because it's a reference to the snail pie in undertale hard mode

His light world object is a cinnamon butterscotch pie

Da Boss:

Da Boss is da boss of da Shadowmen

Da Boss cannot say the word "the" instead he replaces it with "Da"

He isn't very bright

In fact he can be easily tricked

His hat obscures half of his vision but he refuses to fix it since he thinks he looks cool like that

He's trys to be threatening but he fails

His light world object is one of the figures on Toriel's windows

Phanta:

They're a shopkeeper

They tells you where to find the ShadowMantle

They can't take off their mascot costume anymore

They're very disfigured because, along time ago they got into a confrontation with Elephanto because they want to leave which caused a fight between them, Elephanto easily won which left Phanta badly damaged, but don't worry! Elephanto used his string powers to stitch them back up, unfortunately they're now permanently stitched into her suit

...

That got really f#%king dark, didn't it?

There light world object is a broken CD

Elephanto:

I'm sure you got a positive view on him after that last section

Elephanto wasn't always his name, it use to be Filmin

Filmin use to record shots for movies and shows backstage for Tenna

One day Tenna gave him his own chance to shine as the main actor in Elephanto's show

He dressed up as Elephanto and got so much joy from bringing happiness to children across the globe

Until one day colored shows came out and Elephanto's ratings got lower and lower until his show was canceled

After this he started to spiral into madness

He started to believe he was Elephanto and he'd never want to take off his costume

He'd start getting very angry over little things

Eventually at his door a script arrived, he couldn't read the symbols but once he looked inside it, it sent him over the point of no return

He refused to let any of his actors leave the show or take their costumes off

He blocked off the outside world from entering or exiting

And he obsessed over putting on a show so good that'd "BREAK-THE-4TH-WALL!" once and for all

He had almost given up on this until he saw an old friend of his, Kris

Elephanto is the secret boss of my chapter 3 take

He uses the purple soul

He's hesitant to hurt kris in his 2 battles, even throwing in healing bullets in his 1st fight

In both his fights he will not kill you, if your health's low enough in the 1st fight the battle will end and in his second fight he'll always only go after kris once susie and ralsei are down, ending the fight if they're down and kris is at low enough hp, however you don't win it just puts you back to the previous room and restarts the fight when you walk back in

He can only see in black and white

His light world object is a nanny cam

Mike:

Mike is a master of disguise

He use to happily work for Tenna until Rook showed up and took over

He's trying to take down Rook for good

He was once best friends with spamton he even convinced Tenna to let him do tv commercials

Mike would contact spamton everyday to help him until Rook showed up which lead to Mike going into hiding

Tenna thinks Rook killed Mike because he hasn't see him in ages

Mike just wants to have his old happy life back

He help the party out a lot in the chapter

In the light world he's a microphone

Tenna:

The host of the tv world!

Tenna is very charismatic on stage and very fatherly off stage

He gets into arguments with toriel because he believes he raised kris better than her or asgore

His staff can't talk, it can only play sound effects

He tries to be as nice and kind as he can be to kris and the others but unfortunately, The evil Rook can control his mind as he hides behind the scenes

The main plot of chapter 3 is to seal the fountain and free tenna from rook

Tenna will often give the party free items as gifts just because he can

He casts Kris as the hero in a lot of shows throughout the chapter because he genuinely wants kris to be successful

He didn't want to kick spamton out of the tv world but Rook forced him to, making him look like the bad guy in spamton's eyes

In the light world he's a TV

Rook:

Rook hides behind his henchmen

He's a genuine scumbag

He uses his power over Tenna to get whatever he wants

Everyone's afraid to stand up to him because everyone who does "disappears"

And by disappears I mean gets put in a jail cell but Rook makes it sound like he kills them

Rook is the main antagonist of the chapter

He's only seen at the very end kinda like King

In the light world he's a remote

Perfect Rook:

After beating Rook he has one more trick up his sleeve

He transforms into Perfect Rook by merging with Tenna

Mike brings out a mech suit he's been saving for when he goes after Rook and gives it to Kris to help with the battle

You fight Perfect Rook in a Street fighter/ mortal kombat styled section with every attack feeling like a different anime reference

After you beat him, you free Tenna from his control once and for all and lock up Rook with King in the castle town jail

This is the final boss of the chapter

Oh my god this took like 40 minutes to write I'm so damn tried and i still have 4 more chapters of these to do.

Petra's chapter 3 concept

Welp. I finally caved and gave into the full prediction. Or at least my take on Tenna, Mike, and Rook. (Plus a shop keep for Bitsy)

Are my takes on Rook and Tenna a little safe/cliche? Probably, but I still like them. Especially Tenna. She's a silly fella. A real wiser cracker. They berate Mike over their hyper specific coffee order off camera.

I might also hear you asking "Petra, if your Rook and Tenna are horrible people, how are they supposed to mirror Asgore and Toriel?" IDK. I just wrote that down and am still working the take out. Additionally, while they'd be parallels, they wouldn't be one to one. Most of how I imagine them atm is they're how Kris wishes Asgore and Toriel were when it comes to their relationship. Aka, loving and together. Rook and Tenna are horrible people in a healthy relationship, Toriel and Asgore are relatively good people who's relationship wasn't working.

Again, I don't know, I'm still working on it.

Also Mike. I think Mike is my favorite take/design of these three. Overworked, tired, boom mic operator/stage hand who hates it here. Even prior to Rook meeting the Knight and making changes to the studio, Mike was generally under appreciated and didn't like all the entitled actors he had to work with. Especially Tenna. Only person he's worked with who he's actually liked and gotten along with was Spamton, who I imagine did some commercials back in his Big Shot days. (Oh if only Mike knew what Spam was going through in those days... The horrors.) As for Mike's opinion on Bitsy? He tolerated her, pre- the spider's popularity. I imagine after Bitsy signed that contract with her mysterious benefactor, she became a little bit of a brat off camera. Before just completely going off the rails at least.

Just some more notes on stuff. Rook is based on the TV remote and Tenna was originally just a game show/variety show host before Rook started cutting corners and costs and so now half the channels are hosted by Tenna or sponsored by TennaVision. Tenna is either the TV itself, or more likely just the antennas. Mike's of course a microphone. Maybe a speaker idk. I've said in previous posts that Bitsy is an old VHS tape and Lanino and Elnina are just on there for another frame of reference. They're the weather channel, I doubt there's any argument about that.

Finally, the shop keep. V.C. Ramsey, aka Grampa Ramsey. He's based on a VCR player and the nursery rhyme, "Baa Baa Black Sheep". Ramsey is the shop keep connected to Bitsy, and they used to be old friends before you know, the whole mystery man stuff went down. The VCR details may be subtle, but I still like Ramsey's design. I could listen to his stories for hours.
