I have watched it and wow! It was very exciting! I have lots of thoughts.

1. Tenna feels guilty.

I like that we learned that Tenna knew his contract with Spamton would have bad consequences. So far from the information we had, it seemed like overall them falling apart was mostly Spamton’s fault. He was the one doing the dangerous deal with his benefactor and he was the one running out on Tenna and disappearing forever for no obvious reason to Tenna. Then he blamed Tenna for loosing everything without much to support his accusations. The only real fault I saw on Tenna’s side was to pick up the phone instead of running after Spamton when Spamton was clearly in distress.

Now we know Tenna was aware he shouldn’t have made this deal and I think it puts them more at a balance of how bad each of them messed up. They both made grave mistakes and had to pay for it, they both have reasons to be mad at each other. I enjoy to see the equilibrium of character flaws in these two stupid men.

2. Tenna was very assured of the manipulative power he held over Big Shot Spamton.

“I made him do it.”

He called it “sweet talk” but we know Tenna’s most successful manipulation tactic is being sad and pitiful. He is literally doing it with Battat in this scene. We know Tenna doesn’t get physical or threatening, even when he loses it at the end of chapter 3, he will heal the kids when they get too low on health because he doesn’t want to harm anyone. None of his employees are very respectful because he is not a threatening guy. The only power he held over Spamton was emotional and still he feels this guilty over something that in the end was Spamton’s own decision to make. Because apparently Tenna’s feelings were so important to Spamton that Tenna was convinced he could just make him seal the deal even though Spamton didn’t want to.

It’s also so interesting to me that Tenna consciously acts sad and pathetic to manipulate others but he’s also so sincere about it. Like when he made the fun gang continue playing boards with him. I can’t be mad at him for his manipulation because he’s so genuine about it and in the end means well.

3. Tenna says out loud he cared about Spamton. (And clearly still does!)

He says this while Kris, who is very likely carrying the dealmaker with them, is in the room. In the last interaction Spamton and Tenna had, Spamton said “You kept it (the Pipis), you really do care!” Now Spamton gets his confirmation that Tenna cares. The dealmaker really must be going through a lot of emotions in the corner of the room!!!

Also Battat!! Is so!! Empathetic!! With this big stupid TV,,, He looks so sad!!! He was almost ready to stand up for his worker’s rights but he cares so much for Tenna 😭 I love him!

AND it’s very interesting that at least to Tenna it seemed like the original Mike cared about Spamton as more than just a tool. It could be that Tenna is wrong but Spamton too only ever talks affectionately about the original Mike. So maybe Spamton’s and Mike’s relationship really was a caring one.

4. Pluey wants to be called “kitten”.

Pluey talks two times. The first name he says makes him and Battat blush and Battat refuses to call him that. Then only the second word Pluey names is Pluey. So my headcanon is that he definitely wants to be called kitten!

5. SLIME

What does the slime mean?? They both keep talking about it, there has to be some meaning, some symbolism?? Why does Tenna look so traumatised when he says he can’t forget about the slime?? If anybody knows of more Spamtenna slime mentions maybe in the Spamton Sweepstakes or has a theory what the slime is supposed to mean please let me know.
