So I ended up watching #NHRAonFathersDay with my dad, Denise, my daughter and my youngest brother. Denise saw @stevetorrence running around saying he's feeling awkward and no one likes him So Denise was all "no one likes him?!?" I told her "no, everyone likes him, he's just not used to winning and being in front of the camera" I see the footage on ##FS1 has changed and I'm considering watching it... Even if they do choose to harass an innocent victim in the name of love. My brother was cool, listening to my stories. Denise saw @jfr_racing bullshit with #DelWorsham and I had to explain to her how he's raced forever and won 16 world championships and people expect him to be able to control his car. I told her "they're very protective over thier lanes, they'll get physically violent about it" after Del complained in the camera he couldn't win after that shit. Sure enough they were at each other's toes moments later. It's kinda lame... I'd expect them to have to check him and see if he's got some sort of dementia for not being able to determine which lane is his and that the red blocks aren't for taking down before the other guy. They let the cylinder call it but we all know it's not the cylinder. Even #CruzPedragon can handle that. Then Leah did all what she did on purpose. honestly I didn't even see it happen and have no clue what anyone was talking about ... Don't care when she was racing @claymillican I told my daughter "I hate her, I wish she would slam her cheese wedge into the wall tiny wheels first" Then Clay won and I explained to her how #Dalton had just recently died. Then we had moments of silence as we watched him in the car. I knew he was going to cry in his speech and he did. I felt an odd calm and peace as I watched him on the TV. Something warm and settled in my chest. I know #MattHagan and I prayed last year how Clay deserved to win and how we thought God should provide the opportunity to say he's sorry Dalton died and that Clay was a good father to him. And we thought him winning on Father's Day would be it. We prayed for it. But only if Clay was a good father did he deserve it. God waited all this time for that moment. We did, too.
