Nardo Rank Dem A Bleach: This Sly and Robbie produced 1993 dancehall classic was an answer to Buju Bantons classic Browning a declaration of love to all lighter skinned woman aka Browning. Dem a Bleach calls out women who are trying “bleach”there skin as he declares his love of his dark skinned Jamaican women! Nardo and Buju never clashes up answer records are a big part of dancehall and this record was a staple of all early 90s dancehall sets in NYC. This is when dancehall records took a slightly more uptempo turn and started to sit side by side tempo wise with hip hop records. A great time in music when dancehall and HipHop were side by side and some house would also get thrown in the mix. Love this tune and this Riddim. Sly and Robbie are masterful having produced everyone from Grace Jones to Black Uhuru and having worked with Bob Marley amongst many others including The Rolling Stones. This record goes! #Dancehall ##SuperDiscoBreakin’ #DemABleach #SlyandRobbie #TheYardGoesHard (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/BnCHZ7OgI9I/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1g5n0ivb2igax
