After years of nonviolent struggle against British rule, India gained its independence in 1947. Moreover, I personally feel that we got Independence just to enslave ourselves from the dominating Britishers or did we actually want to make an ‘Republic, sovereign, secular and a developing‘ country...
Even after the revolts, we remember people and their sacrifice....what next? “Jyotirao Govindrao Phule was an Indian social activist, thinker, anti-caste social reformer and writer from Maharashtra. His work extended to many fields, including eradication of untouchability and the caste system, and women's emancipation.“ also “ Savitribai Phule was an Indian social reformer, educationalist, and poet from Maharashtra. She is regarded as the first female teacher of India. Along with her husband, Jyotirao Phule, she played an important role in improving women's rights in India. She is regarded as the mother of Indian feminism “.......is this information clearly just needed in Wikipedia or does it really matter to us?
Taking consideration into the Independence struggle, the times when one of the monuments was being created, when everyone in the world ran behind ‘standard education‘..don’t you think that the first ever school of India; in itself is a great historic monument.
The following image is of the first school in India, and its very appalling to see its condition. It seems like its holding its breath tightly....We as responsible citizen of India can adhere to this issue by demanding government to respectfully preserve this place....Its not the people who are immortal, but such things that keeps us reminding the people and what they left for us!
