"Do you think this place is really haunted?" asked Chloe, her eyes looking around the place. A wavering flame, shining from a small lantern held in her right hand, sent shadows dancing along the decorated walls. It made her fully aware of just how large and imposing the house was, not to mention the crawling sensation on the back of her neck that made her feel like she was being watched. “I mean, why else go to an old creepy house a few days before Halloween if it’s not haunted, right?”
