Photographer @demetrius.freeman has been closely documenting the #blacklivesmatter protests on the streets of New York City these past few weeks and his image from June 14, first published on the front page of @nytimes, has become instantly iconic as Americans celebrate the historic U.S. Supreme Court ruling banning employment discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. #DemetriusFreeman's photos can also be viewed in his #MTAArts #Lightbox photography exhibit "Brooklyn Blues" at the Atlantic Ave-Barclays Center station. #PRIDE

For the new year, a new lightbox photography installation is captivating commuters at Atlantic Ave – Barclays station. Demetrius Freeman focuses his photo-journalist’s eye on the world that surrounds him in Brooklyn, capturing scenes of solitude and urbanity.  The images in the Brooklyn Blues lightbox exhibition each have a cool blue tone or mood lifted from Freeman’s cityscapes.
