Demon Ayato

The Ishikawa clan come from the north, and this middle child of the main branch of the clan has been wandering for centuries, parting ways with the clan, wishing to live his own life instead of what was desired by his father the clan head. 

His father has died, his eldest has taken over the clan, and while things have reconciled between them, Ayato has no intention of coming back to live in the mountains to the north, and has instead found himself deep in a forest where he’s heard tale of a malevolent, vengeful spirit that traps humans and kills them indiscriminately.

He has no vested interest in humans as a whole, but he is curious why this particular forest is such dangerous territory.
