I just went through the tag the house that cthulu built and I think I shall never be the same again. Holy shit. What the fuck. And the fact that theres probably more from before you started using that tag.... the tampon one had me reeling. Not even landlords explains that one. Just no. Also, how's demon rose? Still slowly eating the house?

Oh yeah. Demon Rose is still going strong. We had to cut her back in 2022 because she’d worked her way under the siding and was growing into the literal actual support structure of the house. There’s now a bunch of withered, thorny vines protruding from that side of the house where we couldn’t get them out and we hoped the winter would dry them out and make them more manageable to break free.

It did not.

In you demon! Rose Lavillant AU, what was it like for Rose when she lived in medieval times?

Oh wow, I think this is the first ask I've gotten for this AU. Then again, I don't really get a lot of asks normally...

Well...

Rose thought that there were some amazing castles and churches built during this time period. Granted, she can't step inside a church without burning up, but she really liked the architecture. She secretly watched the progress of the Notre Dame Cathedral being build over 182 years behind her dad's back.

She also really loved the dresses during that time, and had some of the finest tailors in Hell design some for her. One of her dresses even caught the attention of one Beatrix Dupain during one of her occasional visits to the mortal world.

Rose remembers her father getting really angry over some mortal who saw visions of some sort. She thinks it was someone named Jenny Ark.

A lot of newcomers to Hell at the time said to her they were screwed out of their money for no good reason.

If anyone else has questions regarding what Rose's life was like during different historical periods in this AU, don't be afraid to ask, because this was fun.

I s2g when I’m finally able to move back out to Cali I wanna ask the owner of either the demon rose, or the felony rose, for a clipping so that I can plant a bloom in my mom’s honor. Cause even though mom’s favorites were Lincoln roses I feel like she would really appreciate this sprawling monster.
