Isabelle's necklace pulsed against her throat, the usual informant that there was a demon in the area. She loosed her whip from her arm and made her way along the street, the pulse picked up the closer she got and as she rounded the corner she saw the shape looming out at her from the shadows. She raised her whip, cutting like a flame in the darkness and through the thing's skin, sending a fine spray of black blood into the air and making the demon howl in pain.
