Boris often uses Alice’s desk as a chair once school lets out for the day, but the way he slides onto it and taps excitedly on the edge is different.

“There’s a carnival setting up in the parking lot over by my old man’s shop,” he says, the sparkle in his eye convincing Alice immediately, “dooo you wanna go with me?”

Alice, dazzled by the image what the shopping center’s parking lot must look like with small rides, music, and lights going on all night, smiles up at Boris, “Yeah, let’s go!”

Dungeons & Dragons game log with Bunny

Cast: Bard: @aqua-stone Paladin: @demonicangel67 Ranger: @adorabubbly Sorcerer: @xenosaurus

Session Three: After recovering from a nearly fatal fall our adventurers began their exploration into the uncovered tomb of a bardic folk hero. A few highlights of the journey downwards:      - Our Sorcerer sticking his finger in a poison dart trap      - Playing a lullaby duet to uncover the hidden door      - Our Bard developing an emotional attachment to her Mage Hand      - The ensuing heartbreak when said hand is incinerated in a fire trap      - Tricking a skeleton bouncer into thinking they were “the (dead) bard’s security entourage” Upon reaching the burial chamber they argued with a baboon faced demon for a bit, flawlessly killed a Ghoul, and uncovered the tomb. Turns out the bard was still in his bones and had a pleasant conversation with them before imparting a few... peculiarly specialized gifts in gratitude. In addition to the thrill of discovery our adventurers were rewarded with: - A pair of fancy boots that never get dirty - A magic wand that instantly preserves meats - A potion that temporarily turns you into a gelatinous cube - A second potion that instead turns you into a bear with a frog’s head

Will these treasures be of any use? Will this adventure go anywhere?

(in which luke is 7 and asch is 17)

“You’re supposed to hold my hand when we cross the street!”

Luke reaches up past Asch’s limp hand to make grabbing gestures at him, rising to his tip toes to emphasis his insistence.

Asch finds it more annoying than when Luke snatches his hand without warning, but he grunts and grabs Luke’s hand from the air, “Fine, I’ll hold your hand for the 3 whole feet across the street.”

Jin sits across from Tsubaki in the least crowded restaurant they could find, looking ridiculous in plain, formless clothes, and ordinary sunglasses compared to his usual “number 1 idol” flair.

Tsubaki appreciates the amount of effort put into making Jin look as pedestrian as possible for their date and she’s been mostly good at remaining polite by keeping her giggles to a minimum.

But Jin protests with “It’s not that funny” every time Tsubaki can’t hold herself back.

“Anything else,” Ragna asks after closing up Rachel’s top row locker for her, and leans down to her when she beckons him to.

She kisses his cheek and then pats it gently, “That will be all, Ragna.”

One of Rachel’s joys in life is how red Ragna’s face gets, knowing that at his height he can’t hide it from all the other students surrounding them.

Once a week Litchi teaches a lesson at the orphanage on any subject the children vote on the week before, and over the course of a year she’s become Carl’s favorite adult and the only one he actually trusts.

After her lesson Carl always lingers behind when all the other children disperse for the rest of the evening and holds his doll tight to his chest while he waits for Litchi to acknowledge him.

When she does, Litchi always smiles at him and gently asks, “How are you and Ada today, Carl?”

“Get those goddamn cameras off me!”

Ragna discovers that attempting to intimidate the costumed cat motif hero into calling off the authorities and press isn’t going to work; she’s far more interested in attracting attention to the “super cool vigilante” than actually apprehending him.

“I’m not even fucking sponsored,” he says but his voice is drowned out more by the repetitive, joyful cries of “vigilante!” than the helicopters closing in.

“It’s unorthodox, sure, but it lets us know who we can almost trust,” Judith says and smirks at him, “so let’s see it, then.”

Raven’s never been asked to show off his piracy marking in broad daylight to anyone who wasn’t with the authorities, but the reckless confidence of this pirate crew is enough to convince him to roll up his sleeve.

“Courtesy of Captain Schwann himself,” he proclaims, holding out his branded arm for Judith to see, “don’t get any more real than that.”
