An autumn sun, lines cast into the water, and the chatter of older men over the sound of tunes on the old radio box and waves crashing against the dock beams. The tide was gentle today and there were a few people here and there. Yet oddly there weren't any people far enough out at sea to safely go hunting. As hunger crept closer for the life of man, or came to find suitable prey. Someone fitting to their tastes. They weren't easy to find here this time of year.
Summer is where they frequent the ocean on surf boards and boats in their beach bodies and swimwear. Vulnerable and oblivious. But unless Kaleolani were to take their hunt on land, they were stuck with these three fellows. Picky as they were, Kaleolani didn't need three. Just one was enough and they had eyes on one man in particular. Once the other two took temporary leave for snacks or bathroom breaks, it gave Kaleolani the chance to lure their pick over the docks barrier's and into the water with their voice. Once those eyes of his met with their dark pits, it was over for them.
Watching as their soul leaves their body, their life fading, sucked from their agape mouth. It was best to keep them quiet before tearing limbs and flesh from bone. It's beneath the dock that all of this is preformed, but in fear of alerting the other two fishermen with their rather messy easy habits, they dive deep and swim away from the shore to a more secluded part of the beach leaving a bit of a red trail behind in the wading water which is soon dusted away by its gentle sway. It had been the part of the beach they had met Dante. Albeit rockier with more pieces of drift wood to make smashing the skull like a watermelon a little more easier after snapping it from the body.
There’s no white dress or pretty blue eyes. No loose long hair or sizable breasts to get in the way of a meal. Clawed fingers, dig past bone devouring most if not all, blood and gore coating their hands and mouth. They look more like the monster they are, but to those under their spell, they only see beauty in every scale.
