Injury

Injury sucks.

Slows you down, drag you down, make you sick and more.

Got my results from the hospital a couple of days ago. I did a MRI and CT scan on my right ankle and results is not what I expected.

I was hoping I might have overworked some muscles or sprained my ankle. Which should explain the pain I have been experiencing for a couple of months. It is worse than I thought. 

Conclusion from CT Scan:

Residual orthopaedic screw in distal tibia - well, I had a surgery over a decade ago. Unfortunately, the metal implant broke after I went through my 2nd or 3rd physiotherapy back in 2001. 

Degenerative changes are seen in the ankle joint - there are bumps on my bone. That was the cause of the pain. Bumpssss. 

Several loose bony fragments are also noted as described. - The Bumps, if I am correct.

Conclusion from MRI:

OA changes in the ankle with focal cartilage defect in the tibial plafond - I have no idea what are these. I only know that the cartilage thing, it has worn out at one part of the joint. It is black on the MRI. 

Sprain of the anterior and posterior talofibular ligaments. - no idea where the hell is this.

Small effusion in the posterior ankle joint with small hypointense bodies inside. - huh?

I am going to show my trainer the report that next time we meet. 

Doctor's advice is to observe for the next six months. If pain persist, some invasive procedures have to be done to remove the bumps and repair the "missing" cartilage.
