Favorite work they’ve created: you’re just like a dream

About the work: early on, a lot of the fans in 2017 were purely movie fans (which there’s nothing wrong it!) and were just shipping reddie and stenbrough. i tried to branch out with the characters and mike hanlon is a very important character who is over looked, richie’s one of the popular ones, and thought why not write about them?

A little bit about them: my name is sydney i’m 22 and have been in the fandom since 2017! i love it because there’s always more stuff to learn about whether it’s books or deleted scenes or miniseries and there’s different takes and headcanons or preferred versions. i still haven’t seen chapter 2 2019 lmao but i love the yo-yo tricks in the book :’) and bill denbrough lmao

Open Arms

Dating someone in the same vein of entertainment as you was never really a smart move, especially when one rose to stardom before the other.

Eddie felt like shit for breaking Richie’s heart, but feeling inadequate each and every night while Richie was out at award shows or big movie productions always felt worse.

He had become Eddie Kaspbrak, the guy Richie Tozier was dating.

They didn’t even list him as a fellow actor most of the time.

So he had to go. Become someone in his own rights and it broke his heart when Richie said he’d wait.

“I’ll always be here, Eds. Waiting with open arms.”

Cologne Like Yours

Stan had always been sensitive to smells.

He hated how everyone else smelled. Either their BO was too strong or they had drowned themselves in some sort of body spray that made Stan feel sick. Many times he would wear a sick mask over his face just so he wouldn’t be overwhelmed with the stench.

But today he had forgotten his mask and being crammed on a train with many smelly people was starting to make him regret ever leaving his home today. He was just about to gag when he was bumped and pressed against the train’s wall by a larger man, Stan’s nose smashing into the man’s shoulder.

“Oh, geeze! I’m sorry!”

Stan was just about tear this guy a new one, taking in a deep breath to let his tone be viscous when it happened.

The man smelled….good. Very good.

Stan’s eyes widened as he stared up at the man, a beautiful friendly smile on the man’s face, his skin dark and warm from where his bare arm pressed against Stan’s.

“Oh, uh. It’s fine.” Stan gulped. “I’m Stan.”

The man’s smile grew. “Hi. I’m Mike.”

Eddie cuddled his small cat closer to his chest, not caring that it was likely getting dirty paw prints all over his new checkered overalls. His hair was a matted mess from the wild winds, and his head itself was still spinning from everything he’d just witness in the town square with all the.... tiny people.

“Hello.”

Eddie startled, whipping around and finding nothing but fields around him. There was a slender and tall scarecrow in the field directly behind him, and there was something off about it. Hunching his shoulders up closer to his shoulders, turning back around to carry on towards this supposed wizard to get him back home.

“HELLO!”

Eddie jumped, squeezing Africa a little closer to his chest and making the cat let out an angry meow. Africa circled around Eddie’s ankles and hissed towards the empty field. Eddie clucked his hands together in an anger similar to his pets.

“Is somebody there!” Eddie called out, hearing his own voice echo through the vast and abandoned area. He could faintly hear the sound of birds chirping through the sky. One came to rest of the shoulder of scarecrow, then another, and another. Eddie frowned, watching as though the scarecrow’s expression almost changed into annoyance. 

“UGH!” The scarecrow suddenly, shaking his whole body to make the birds fly away with indignant squawks. Eddie’s mouth dropped open and Africa hissed, pressing herself tighter up against Eddie’s ankles. Eddie stared as the scarecrow came down from its stand, stretching out its legs and groaning. 

The scarecrow adjusted its hat and give Eddie half a smirk. “Birds love me. Pretty inconvenient given my line of work.” 

Eddie continued to gape. He blinked hard. “You... you’re... you’re alive.”

The scarecrow stuck out his hand, still smirking. “Name’s Stan.”

“Stanley the Scarecrow?”

“Don’t start.”

ben helped rebuild the dam without ever seeing or building one before! he becomes one of the worlds most renowned architects!! child ben is so polite and lovely and in love with beverly so much

True! All of it! Canon!!!

Rebuilding the dam was his first inclination that Ben might actually enjoy this kind of thing. He’d never given it much thought before, but he found himself loving the planning, experimenting with what worked and what didn’t work, and of course seeing a finished product that HE made. It all felt so fulfilling, and from then onward he did little projects like that whenever he could until it eventually became his career. :’)

BEN IS THE MOST POLITE BOY IN THE WORLD! That’s why if he goes off on you, you know YOU DUN FUCKED UP. Or, you insulted his Beverly. And no one does that and gets off scott-free.

i’ll say they’re bad at character analysis including richie and eddie! removing some of eddie’s traits to dwindle him down to soft cute boyfriend for richie for example

oh my god I love this I dunno if I’d write it but I’d probably start and abandon it like I do with most things !!! As for pairings I’d have to say maybe steddie ?? I see Stan as playing baseball and Eddie as running track usually, but I could see either of them playing either sport if that makes sense ?? so either they’re both playing baseball and meet at a game or both doing track and meeting at a track meet !!
