It was the weekend, and Hongbin had slept and charged with solar panels all day, so now being evening, he was wide awake. Sometimes, Hongbin yearned to see the stars -- and when you were an android whose batteries depleted when the sun disappeared, it was often a rarity. It was one of these rare nights that Hongbin had been up, stargazing. Spending the night alone was, as Hongbin’s systems somewhat unhelpfully provided him, lonely. Most of his friends happened to be diurnal, so no one would be awake now. Or maybe they would? Hongbin didn’t really understand. No one else had batteries. And so, he found himself wandering somewhat aimlessly until he passed a dorm room that he actually recognised. He halted, taking a few steps back as he squinted at the door. His memory files provided him with the exact date and time he had seen it before. Ah. Denitr. He knocked quietly, hovering his ear over the wood of the door. “Deni?” He asked softly.
