so proud of denmark ❤️ they may have lost to an english dive but their performance – from forming a wall to shield their teammate fighting for his life next to them on the pitch and being forced to continue playing afterwards to powering through to the semi-fucking-finals – truly the true winners of this tournament no matter the outcome of this ridiculous game
Yussuf Poulsen’s tribute to Christian Eriksen during his goal celebration after scoring two minutes into Denmark’s group stage game against Belgium at the UEFA Euro 2020 – the first of Denmark’s games at the tournament since Eriksen collapsed with cardiac arrest in their opening game.
During the recording of Denmark’s UEFA Euro 2020 anthem, Christian Eriksen impressed everyone with his mad air guitar skills. Poulsen mimicked these in his goal celebration in honour of his teammate.

The creator of Denmark's women's jersey was today on Go' morgen Danmark (live TV), due to the men tonight are playing in the women's jersey and talked also and the story behind it.
The idea behind it is actually really good, he says it takes 10,000 hours to get good at something, and on the jersey, there are about 10,000 lines.
He says "the jersey has been out for 2-3 weeks, but it is still only now when the men are playing in it that comes into focus. Look, now we are here, on live TV, we would never have been that, if the men shouldn't play in it "
He also talks about that it is good that the men choose to play in it, so there will come this focus on the women. He says "people here are talking about Denmark's next tournament being the World Cup in Qatar in November, but there is actually only less than 1 month left, and it is the women"
we could lose every single game and it wouldn’t matter to me in the slightest so long as christian is ok ❤️
but for uefa to allow the game to proceed when the danish players CLEARLY aren’t alright, less than an hour efter they formed a wall around their unresponsive teammate receiving cpr on the pitch... that is one of the most appalling displays of ignorance i have ever seen. doesn’t matter if the players themselves wanted to continue, that is not a decision for them to make
