A large majority of this section was outdated due to the book being written originally before the 2000s, and as such a lot of the methods around chat groups and email-based surveys are not as relevant in a world where the vast majority of people have a solid internet connection or voice technology. However some of the anecdotes, especially around focus groups, proved to be overall useful moving forward

This book by Martyn Denscombe has been cited thousands of time and is a key resource for research methods and so I took notes on the sections that were relevant for our overall study in order to make sure that our research methods and materials were as comprehensive as they could be.
