anyway so imagine this: denmark and taiwan meet at like a world meeting or something and they hit it off. denmark sees a little of himself in her bc he thinks that her optimism is bordering on naivety kind of like how he was back in the day. he doesn't want to crush it he wants to understand it. meanwhile taiwan is like wow he's tall and also weirdly cheerful is he like 5 years old with that energy. but also isn't he old how does he have that kind of cheerfulness is he ok. and they're unwrapping each other like christmas presents except in the end they get each other's hearts

so now these national personifications are a little obsessed with each other and a little in love with each other and they're horrible and disgusting and i will powerwash them into the floor. anyway. denmark wants to marry her bad. real fucking bad. except there's politics in the way and taiwan is ambiguously a nation, except actually did you know denmark has experience with autonomous territories
radical proposal: taiwan enters free association with the kingdom of denmark, making taiwan part of the danish realm and effectively an autonomous part of denmark
