LGBTQIA+ Friendly Space In Need of Help
There's this café, in Denton, Texas, that is a safe place for our community and has fallen on some hard financial times. They've had some unexpected expences durring a slow season, for them. Q's will have to shut down if they don't get help soon.
If any of you have some spare money to help preserve a cool space, where people in the LGBTQ+ community can feel safe, please consider donating here -

If you can't donate, please consider reblogging, so more people can see this.
A cast of characters on the Square
sometimes you just gotta lay in the grass and let everything go
I got to get out of the house today (a frustrating rarity for can’t-drive-cripples) and got to go to Denton square and it was fun and the weather was nice and yay
My favorite city... well one of about 5
Denton Tx ... For me Denton is that one place where I can go and totally relax spend a whole day there and come back to FW with a better frame of mind.
I wish I had a friend I could go get a beer with. Like every so often, meet up at one of the bars on the square with the outdoor seating, sit and talk over a pint or two, then just go our separate ways...
Alas I do not know any humans...
Square Dancers on the Denton Square, 1987 by Alec Williams Via Flickr: This is in the shadow of the west side of the Square3, late in the day. On the right are Glen's Pawn and the Lawyers Building, both destroyed by fire in the 1990's. The McClurkan Building is in the background, across East Hickory Street. McClurkan's was a respected department store that became Russell's when the families were joined by mariage. That store and my family's store had a friendly competition for many years. Russell's tried for more of a mass market approach, and indeed, lasted until late in the 20th century.
