New Image Wednesday + Reminder

Hey!

How the heck are ya? HUH?! How could you fit six whole quarters up your nose?? You spent two full days in the ER?! Jeez...you gotta quit trying to force fit so much stuff in your face. Is it like some secret dare or something? Oh, I guess I understand that. We all do want to leave some kind of legacy behind, but I don't think injuring yourself repeatedly is the way to go...

So, today I'm a bit stuck in limbo between finishing up some awesome stuff and starting a WHOLE BUNCHA new stuff! Some clients coming up: John Common has a new project that we're working diligently on, I'm doing some artwork for this awesome Immersive Studios compilation, Sarah & The Meanies have a killer new record coming out, I'm working on drawing this year's Denver Ukefest posters/branding, Lesley Kernochan from NY has a GREAT new record we've shot and I'm starting on, and a TON more amazing fun projects. Whew....life is SOOOO fun! I'm loving all these ideas so much! So, you'll be seeing a lot of stuff from me coming up real soon. 

But, today is about a reminder. I want to remind you to send your awesome stories from when you were a kid. Whether they be mischievous, loving, disastrous, or just plain funny, I want to photograph your tales. My great friend (and AMAZING photographer) Eric Dallimore and I are gathering stories for this project called "American Mischief." So far we've been talking to a lot of people and grabbing stories from all over, but I wanna hear from you!

New Image Wednesday + Denver UkeFest + What He Said Next Will Blow You Away...

Hello friends!

This blog has turned into a great way for me to record some of the progress I'm making in the photography realm. It's always nice to look back and realize how far I've come. It's like having a little recorder that explains my life back to me on a weekly basis. So, here's a few photos from this year's Denver UkeFest at Swallow Hill:

However, one of the big things I've been struggling with lately is that we're so overwhelmed by amazing art on a daily basis. While I think that's AMAZING, my hope is that we haven't started to gloss over the importance of a single piece or song or lyric. I'd like to believe that when we post a hundred things to Facebook, each one has gotten the time it deserves to resonate and help define us. I've made a video about this very topic today. It's certainly my time to whine, but hopefully it'll function as a reminder to myself not to take so much creativity for granted.
