i wasnt even excited about ts3 bc i loved ts2 sooo much. the jump from ts1 to ts2 was way more exciting
When TS3 came out, I was already getting bored with TS2 so I can understand people who are getting bored with TS3 and are ready to move on to TS4. I'm not getting bored with TS3 yet.
Yeah, the jump from TS1 to TS2 must have been insane!

I'm not excited about it either.
I want to be, but ugh. Every time I see something that seems cool, there are three or four other things that put me off it. :/

I want to be excited too but I'm not. All I can do is look at the gameplay pictures and wonder where is the clothing textures? I know that is a small complaint but I for me I need textures on clothes not shiny plastic things.
YES! YES YES YES! The entire thing is so plastic-y! Which, I don't understand. I know EA is capable of making decent textures, but their base game textures are always so horrible! Compare the Diesel SP textures, for instance, to the base game clothing textures. In fact, most of the recent EPs textures have been pretty fantastic as far as I'm concerned. And it's not because they weren't able to make decent textures before, because TS2 ended with really strong textures as well. Hell, I even used textures from TS2 Teen Style SP in TS3.
It doesn't have to be hyper-realistic, but it doesn't have to be flat, either!

I don't mind that other folks are excited, I just kinda loathe it and don't want it on my dash, so I wish people would tag. But hey! I've figured out how to block the untagged stuff, so go crazy.

Totally same tbh. I managed to pre-order it really cheaply so I will play it, but it seems like they've taken out way more than they've put in. The style's growing on me but eh. I've yet to be won over. Glad I'm not alone.
Oh, I'm still going to play it, too! I'm really just not excited about it at all.

I'm excited. I l8ve the whole overall design and look. I just hope game olay is amazballs. I'm not fussed losing cast because I hardly use it. I feel its got that grwat cqrtoony fun feel the sims should have.
See, I use the hell out of CASt, so I'm super-annoyed by it being removed. I just keep thinking back to the TS2 days with tons and tons of recolors of things being needed, and ugh...
Also, I'm really not digging the style. It's so far removed from my style, you know? Even the 'alternative' stuff is just way too bright for me. Like, the basic 'shapes' of everything, like the complete lack of hair alphas, I could deal with that. Rock Band has the same thing going on, and yet because of the general 'rock star' thing going on with that I didn't mind it in the least even though it's just as cartoony as TS4.

I'd made him a fox once before, but I don't think he had ears and it was before I redid his face, so when I saw the tail and ears earlier I decided I had to fox him up again. :D
