Loose Talk | House of Blues Orlando | 12/20/19 | Photos by Andrew Friedgen
WHO: Christian McAlhaney, Deon Rexroat
WHAT: dirty southern blues-y rock
WHERE: Saint Petersburg, Fla.
WHEN: 2016-present
WHY: Loose Talk is a refreshed take on dirty southern rock. It’s impossible not to mention the band’s Anberlin heritage (both McAlhaney and Rexroat are in the band), but if you were expecting the melody and charisma of Anberlin, you’re in for a way different treat. Loose Talk is like if a classic southern rock band such as Molly Hatchet started off in the 2010s. This isn’t to say Loose Talk are imitators, rather, the five songs they have out channel the grit and blues of southern rock bands in a modern way.

We didn't plan on this show originally and in fact were supposed to go to a festival back home but on the drive to Detroit we were both like "...what if we just went to Cleveland instead?" and so that's what we did.
Detroit, MI - July 2, 2019
Show 3 of ultimately 6 for me.
I'm finally resurfacing a week after my foray back into the world of Anberlin shows now that the tour's almost done to actually post some of my pictures fro mit.
A lot of 'em aren't great because their lighting is always a trip for photography and because I was more concerned with just watching the shows this time.
Anyway here's Chicago night #2, June 30, 2019.
