throwback to that time that I (someone who hates, hates, loathes, is terrified of horror movies) decided to be a good friend for once in my life to my friend, whose birthday falls around late October, who wanted very much for his birthday for everyone to come over and watch a horror movie with him. his entire birthday celebration, a chill movie night with a horror movie. and I said, okay, fine, maybe I only hated horror as a child and I’ve improved since then, maybe now is the time to watch a horror movie and see if I’ve grown a pair. I will do this for my dear friend who I love. For His Birthday.

cut to about halfway through the movie with the entire room on the couch in various stages of fight or flight and me, his girlfriend, and their friend in the corner of the room, facing away from the television, fighting off tears as the friend desperately tries to infodump to us about luxury cars to distract us all from the hell my dear friend has trapped us in by watching this damn movie.

and that movie. my friends. the only horror movie I’ve watched in my life. was Hereditary.
