"Unbelievable." Wendy could already feel that familiar pain shooting up between her brows as she stuffed her bag with the necessary books she'll be needing at home. The Debate Championship Finals will be held in three days and yet, her debate partner had just conveniently decided to get into some sort of freak accident and had called that he won't be able to make it for he had been confined in the hospital. Preposterous! She wouldn't have let a missing leg get in the way of her competition!
Now how was she supposed to take part of the finals when she didn't have a partner? The principal's words were very direct after all. Either she finds a partner, or don't bother showing up at the finals at all. Rules are rules. With another frustrated huff, Wendy shut her locker and swung her bag over her shoulder... at least that's what she intended to do but then she felt her bag bump someone from behind.
Quickly, she turned to apologize only to find herself face-to-face with a familiar figure. There, standing in front of her like he's just the perfect solution to her problem was Gregory Barnett. She knew she could easily ask Kyle but the envious side of her refused to let her do so.
"Gregory!" She acknowledged, her words laced with so much relief. "I need your help with something, if you don't mind?"
