Doing a rewatch of Gotham, on season one episode six.
Now, y’all know I love Riddler, especially the Gotham version. Edward Nygma is my baby, he can normally do no wrong in my eyes. However…
He sniffed her, literally sniffed her! Like a flower, not even subtly, like blatantly! I was like,
“Eddie, sweetie, what are you doing?! Her name? Bro you are no one to talk about unusual names and parents with interesting senses of humor. Edward nooooooo, do NOT rearrange her filing system, especially after she specifically told you not to!”
I’m not saying he’s as bad as the jerk who was using Kris as a punching bag but still, unacceptable behavior. Usually I’m on Edward’s side in the way people treat him like crap, but in this case he kinda earned it when Kristen said “You are so… odd.” (It still made me flinch for him though, I got it bad for my poor little psycho).
Gotham is like Sons of Anarchy, characters I didn’t like the first or even the second time I watched these series, suddenly make more sense and I like them better. For the record the character in SOA I learned to sympathize with was Tara.
I feel like this is evidence of personal growth on my part. Age is making me less judgmental of fellow women, I’m learning to fight the media’s narrative on emotionally and physically abused women.
