absolutely correct. the idea of ‘hope’ is one of ignorance and an unrelenting desire to continue a life of no meaning. to preform to the best on one’s ability should be as far as the mind and its capabilities should be pushed — anything more strays upon being hopeful, and clearly exaggerating the outcomes of what is to happen. to delay death, suffering; things that are all inevitable and beyond what mere man can do, is a thing of clear defiance against all conventional rules that govern the world. a logical being, he does not argue against what is. hope extends past what can be within his hands and proven.
