Lynchburg Hillcats, Potomac Nationals split two

The Lynchburg Hillcats (20-23) split a pair of finals with the Potomac Nationals (23-19) tonight, falling 6-5 in the completion of a suspended game from April 28, and winning the second game 10-1. Fresh off the disabled list, Josh Elander went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs as well as two walks between the two games.

Myrtle Beach rocks Potomac Nationals, 9-2

After winning their three-game set with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans (8-6, 1-6) with a sweep of the de facto doubleheader last evening at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark, the Potomac Nationals (8-6, 4-3) got hammered 9-2 in their series finale on Thursday night.

The P-Nats offense mustered just six base hits, while the Pelicans collected 15 knocks including a pair of home runs.
