Basically, I always wanted to drop a shitton of bathbomvs into a pool or see a Lush store flood, just to see the pretty colors. I'd totally buy out a store with Saeyoung just to dump them all into a pool.

Would I let Saeran go through and pick ones he wants to keep? Yes. Would Saeyoung and I cause chaos dumping the rest into a pool? Also yes.

I have a lot of those self-care bath posts! They're on my masterlist but it would be easier for me just to link them here so you can see them. Also, you would be the person to do that with him, wouldn't you? Saeyoung has been banned from Jumin’s pool for this very reason.

Oh Phish Food is awesome- little chocolate fishes I it and everything! It's called that as like half the profit (probably more knowing Ben and Jerry's) goes to preserving the Vermont Watershed

Vanderwood also would be a fan of vanilla, partially Because depending on the toppings, you can change the flavor. As a kid, my friend and I used to take plain white mint chocolate chip and change the color with either strawberry or chocolate syrup. They’d probably do that with vanilla depending on their mood

Also, cosmic brownie ice cream is a thing and Saeyoung would be 100% all over that kinda shit-

Yeah! Vanilla might seem basic to many people but it's simple in a good way. It lets you enjoy it for what it is and you get to have fun knowing that you could add pretty much anything to make it better. Vanilla and any additives are normally a solid choice. Vanderwood is flexible like that. It's hard to know what he's like so what better than a flavor that's multipurpose? It makes sense to keep them guessing in my eyes.

Vandy gives me Phish Food vibes. Probably because it's one of my favorites- (after mint chip ofc)

I'm a Bluebell person so I had no idea there was a flavor called Phish Food al a Ben and Jerry's. I don't even know how to unpack that right now. But, that's valid. I see Vanderwood as a plain vanilla type, but I think it's interesting you picked an ice cream with a dozen mix-ins for them. He's complicated... might as well have a different bite each time you eat it.

I think part of the reason I love Saeyoung is because he's so complicated.

For a lot of people with autism (not sure if I do this or not myself), there's a concept of masking. From how I understand it, it's basically putting on a facade of normalcy- pretending and acting like everyone around you is to fit in. Personally, I've always been able to sense if the person I'm meeting for the first time is faking it or not- like "They don't seem genuinely nice, even if they're smiling and acting friendly. Something is off." Basically, noting people have multiple masks for multiple situations- I'm pretty sure I do.

Saeyoung has constantly been swapping masks and putting up a facade of who he is, that he doesn't truly know who the real him is.

Is he the silly and energetic 707, who is rarely serious and always joking?

Is he Luciel- a cold, calculating hacker genius who will do anything to complete his mission, and who has a sadistic side to him?

Or is he Saeyoung, the dreamer, the inventor, the child who had to grow up too fast and too soon? Who wants to be at his brother's and his soulmate's sides?

Basically, SE and AE Saeyoung is a Saeyoung whose masks merged into one, no longer allowing him to hide away his true self, which is all three.

Masking is hard. It drains you of your energy to feel like you need to be someone else. It makes you frustrated, sad, and upset that there are people who don't or refuse to understand and adapt to your own needs. You have to present yourself to the world as someone who is 'acceptable' and hide facets of yourself to avoid bullying, shaming, or judgment. We're all different around different people, but... it's hard to explain this experience in terms of neurodivergency.

It's more than it seems. It's not like 'acting one way in front of your parents and then in a different way in front of your friends.' It's a big mask that feels like you can never take it off. You mask to survive in any way you can, but it drains you of your energy by the time you're home and can unmask. God knows I lose my energy all the time like that. Finding people who you feel safe enough to unmask around is a good thing. It's tough, though.

Far too many people feel afraid to do it.

I know a lot of people feel akin to Saeyoung in that sense, and I'm not surprised to see HC for Saeyoung that way. It makes me smile when I do see it because it's nice to know that we can see ourselves in our favorite characters. No matter how you angle it, Saeyoung's masks of survival feel like an experience many neurodivergent people feel, and for someone who is autistic, I'm sure he is a comfort to them.

I feel the same way about Saeran. He struggles with compulsive thoughts and many other things that I do and having him makes me feel... seen.

Saeyoung unmasked is a beautiful sight. I hope he gets to enjoy being himself, all of himself, and everyone works to love him as he is, not just as 1/3 parts, but as a whole. For Saeyoung MCs, I know y'all see him that way. You see his complete self and love that for him, so hold tightly to him, okay? Make sure he's happy as all three come to make Saeyoung full.

Question- in a Howl's Moving Castle AU, who would be the Witch of the Wastes? And if it's the movie version, is their father Howl's old teacher? Or is he the Witch?

Also, Saeyoung would totally pull a Saeran and dye his hair white only for MC to mess with his potions, revealing his red hair-

Well, in the context of Saeyoung being Howl, the Witch of the Waste would have to be someone who isn't a romantic interest. I don't know who would fill that role for him. As we know that in the film, Howl is in the world searching for the pure burst of magic he saw when Sophie went to speak to him through time. It leads to him becoming quite a womanizer in search of that energy. That pure heart. But, I can't see Saeyoung being like that. We all know that he would gladly give Calcifer his heart if it meant that he could become stronger. But, for him to become a bit of a playboy? Not as likely.

In fact, I see him more as the type of person that's hunting for this pure magic so that he can protect his brother. It makes him willing to work with anybody who he thinks has that energy. With that in mind, it makes me imagine him stumbling into Rika who is a powerful witch. Since she is so shiny and magnificent when you first encounter her, it would make sense that he would assume that she might be the source of that magic he saw when he was a young boy.

So, perhaps he would start training under her for a short time, learning his tricks and trades from her. That would make her his teacher of sorts. His drive is about finding that magic and it wouldn't take long for him to discover what he thought was the same magic as his childhood vision, isn't the same as all. So, he would obviously flee and leave that place behind to start his search for that magic once again. Magic that could be strong enough to protect him and his brother.

With that in mind, we would have to decide if his brother is with him or not. Where is Saeran? Are the twins together and on the run? Are they both trying to make sense of the world in the moving castle?Did he leave his brother with Rika for the time being? Would he think it's safer to leave his brother behind with a strong witch even though it's not the best outcome? Figuring out the context for that would be really important to make this story work.

I'm not sure where their father would be in this circumstance since it would take a while to make the universe work for the boys. It would need some major changes to make everything turn out right. It definitely is an au that I love to see, but there's a lot of tinkering that needs to be done.

...Even though GE Saeran doesn't jump out the window canonically like some people appear to think, he would absolutely do everything that Prince Charming did in Cinderella 3: A Twist in Time. He has that energy. He would do it as Rika said "Don't you dare take another step down these stairs".
