Back there it was flavored with dust and dirt, but now it was something that could be flavored with cheddar powders, sprinkles of cinnamon, it could be coated in caramel.

So many options when it came to popcorn, but as far as Harry was concerned, waiting for Olivia before hitting up netflix wasn’t an option at all - he wanted to see the next episode. Besides, it was netflix, it wasn’t as if she couldn’t watch the episode again, it was hardly a life or death matter.

sometimes it takes ben a moment to decompress after a particularly gruelling meeting- and she’s caught him in one of those moments. paused, briefly, staring into his open locker but not picking anything up as he replays the entire process in his head to try and figure out what he could have done better, and to try and find a solution to an ongoing problem.

he’s so caught in his own head that he jumps when she speaks, the blank expression slipping immediately into a warm smile as he turns to the olympian. “ sorry, yes. i was in a completely other place, there. ” he laughs, hopefully dispelling and residual tension from the air. “ how are you? ”
