The Mojave Desert
I’ve been half-joking about my house being haunted ever since moving in (the cabinets open randomly, I get bruises all over my body that have literally no explanation, there’s sometimes weird noises in the kitchen, an apocalyptic “Moses, are you fuckin’ with me right now?” amount of bugs in our yard, etc.).
WELP, my friend came over today - she brought her Tarot cards, and I don’t know much about Tarot cards, but after telling her a little bit, she said she wanted to do a reading for me. However, today her cards decided that this was not the place to do a reading. Fair enough!
She gave me a couple of suggestions (like moving my Irish blessing and my husband’s cross to the other side of the room), but she says she can feel spirits in this house.
I’m not a 100% believer in the afterlife, spirits, or any powers that be - but I’m a big chicken and I think that anything is possible - can there be a God? Sure! Can there be an afterlife, demons, spirits, witchcraft, etc. Sure! I believe in hard evidence, but for stuff we can’t measure, like all of this, I’m sooooo not fuckin’ with it.
Also, Halloween is approaching, so the last thing I need is to get possessed by a demon or tortured spirit. Who knows, maybe the spirits are just hangin’ out, trying to watch Netflix with me.
Anyways, this has been a tangent. Have a great weekend.
