Patagonia Movie Night to be rescreened
Last night saw the last of the Patagonia movie nights. Fitiing send off with two great movies on the cards.
"Rio Breaks" the story of two best friends, Fabio and Naama, who live amid the squalorof a Rio de Janeiro favela but find solace in theslum’s precarious but vibrant surf club.Theyfind a way to navigate between life in the slumsand surfing on their favorite beach. What willhappen to these best friends? Will their friendship survive the pressures of life in the favela? Can surfing offer a way out and the possibilityof a better life?
“Desert River” Every spring in Haines, Alaska, a river bulges and rages towards the sea, fed by the thawingof a massive mountain snowpack. These samemountains fuel the hunger of those willingto test their skills against the desolate whitebeauty of Alaska’s high desert-- giving life toriver and skier alike.
Unfortunately The guys had some difficulty with the equipment and the sound kept cutting in and out. So the movie was called off for the night. Bad news for those who were there! Good news to those that were not! Due to the unforseen technical glitch they will be replaying the two movies at another date. They are unsure when. However assurances are it will be in the next couple weeks! We watched the first 30 minutes of Rio Breaks and from what i could tell I am with out doubt going back for the replay. It looks like agreat movie. In order to find out when they will be playing the next screening you can follow them on FACEBOOK or Floow us and we will have details on our facebook for when the next /repeat screening will be FOLLOW SLYDE FACEBOOK
