Baileya multiradiata

Common Name - Desert Marigold.
Though commonly known as desert marigold Baileya multiradiata is only a distant relative of the marigold from the Tagetes genus, which also belongs to the Asteraceae family.
Baileya multiradiata is native to the deserts of northern Mexico and the Southwestern United States.
Baileya multiradiata is a short-lived perennial to annual that forms a clumping patch of silvery-green foliage which bears many tall, naked stems, each topped with a bright yellow flower head, the flower being typical of the Asteraceae family species.
