#GeraeaCanescens AKA #HairyDesertSunflower (or just #DesertSunflower if you prefer to be less judgemental about it). This field of them north of #BorregoSprings is massive & has a number of other annuals blooming & sprouting as well. I’ve read in flower reports that these are not cold hardy so catch them before a hard frost destroys the flowers!
