A WIP for a redesign for Lust. I found their original design to be too choppy and boring along with too many lines, which is often seen as aggravating to animate or draw correctly in general.
Still thinking on keeping them within a bleak color pallet, however. I want the color to show a part of their character that I have yet to really talk about: The fact that they dislike their title as Lust. How they’re taking the role of something that is so often sexualized by mortal media.Their goal in their position is to prove that punishment for those who committed lustful sins has no right to be seen as beautiful or to be physically sought after. Their idea of punishment is seen as one of, if not the most cruel form of suffering in Hell next to facing Satan’s wrath. However, they understand that many cases that come across their desk can’t be truly seen as “lustful” and as such, many cases of possible punishment go undone and the accused sinner is sent to purgatory to wait out final orders to get them into heaven. Punishment is only saved for those who truly deserve it. Only those who truly deserve it.
(Ah, and the odd shards you see in the image is an example of their primary ability. They have many broken up glass shards that show what the sinner was like during their life and what brought them to their realm of Hell to begin with.)
