Will these people lead Apple to embark on the new journey?
On July 27, 2019. Apple announced that its chief designer Jony Ive will leave from Apple to form an independent firm “LoveFrom Jony” as a client with Apple.
But who is going to be the next chief designer of Apple? According to Apple’s Newsroom, Evans Hankey, the vice president of Industrial Design, and Alan Dye, vice president of Human Interface Design, both will take the responsibility for Apple’s design team as important leaders. Further, they will continue to have close collaboration with Jony Ive.
In the following, I am going to talk about the background of Evans Hankey and Alan Dye.
Evans Hankey:studied industrial and product design at Stanford University and first female VP of Industrial Design at Apple.
Alan Dye:graduated from Syracuse University and helped to create the interface of apple watch.
