So I will be launching my travel blog soon, hopefully some time this week!
I embarked on an adventure through Asia at the start of this trip in March, I spent a few months there and moved onto Australia by June. Not the best month you could say being winter, but this blog will be a travel memoir looking back and through my journey, in these 7 months that I’ve been abroad from home.
I am a backpacker seeking that popular word ‘wanderlust’ and enjoying the time away from home to self discover and make memories - all that cliched crap!
I have a design history in Woven textile 3D construction, which I have abandoned as a graduate and decided on the travelling focus instead, although never forgetting my creative and artsy roots. I always have my eyes open for that bit of inspiring fabric or that pattern I have never seen before. It stays with me along my travels and i am constantly collecting and keeping ideas locked away for later use. The clogs are always going! Ticking away in the background of my mind, which i think many art types can relate to, it is not some thing you can switch off or forget. And i hope that one day my travels will have enhanced my design thinking and enriched my mind to be a great and better designer one day.
Without going off topic though that’s pretty much me, a backpacker now blogging about her travels with an eye for anything creative.
And I have a lot more where that came from!
