So this is kind of a fantasy AU as well, but basically Ginny goes out to a party on her own for the first time. This is acceptable in this setting for women to go alone but of course you do need to behave because people talk. A mishap happens with the wine and a potion is mixed in, leaving everyone with lowered inhibitions and following their desires. Ginny hides in a room when she realises what happened but someone else is already in there and it's this gorgeous tall man. He promises to stay on his side of the room because he had the drink too and they wait it out and chat and he is so handsome, and the potion starts to work and one thing leads to another and they end up having very passionate sex
Ginny doesn't remember much about the night, not even his face but she does remember how amazing it felt to be wrapped in his arms while they made love. A lot of people were affected that night so everything is largely forgiven and forgotten but then Ginny ends up pregnant and for her own safety, she needs to get married.
Her parents contact the Potters who they have been trading with who have a son about her age who is a good man but hasn't much shown interest in women because he's a bit reclusive. So they agreed to meet up, full well knowing Ginny's predicament.
He asks her about how she's doing and if she feels alright. he knows something happened at the party, but he can't remember it was her and he understands how such things could happen. She can tell he's a good man who will make sure she is well and will accept a baby who isn't his because he's just a good person and would want the baby to grow up well. Harry in turn thinks she's funny, witty and pretty and yeah he'd never have the nerve to talk to her directly but he'd pursue her if he could so they both agree to get married. So it's arranged, but they get a say in it.
The wedding is swift and they move in together. Of course they don't have sex but they talk a lot and the touches increase gradually. Ginny hopes there is something real in the cards for them but right now her focus is on settling into this new life.; Ginny's belly starts to grow and Harry's secretly obsessed with the bump because she looks adorable and she chats to the baby and he's scared to overstep but he wants to be involved so badly.
So one day her maid has the day off and she is tired in the evening so for the first time since they got married, Harry properly sets foot in her bedroom to help her braid her hair to go to bed. He brushes it out for a long time and ends up talking, because it's easier when you don't have to look each other in the eye. Ginny's cupping her bump, patiently sitting on the chair as he admits he was also affected by the potion and he can't really remember so he completely understands how such things happen.
He begins to braid her hair when it starts to dawn on Ginny that he's the man she had the most perfect sex with and whose child she's carrying. she lets him braid her hair and then stands up and turns around to him. she asks him if he has a scar on his hipbone on the left side because for some reason she remembers that.
He freezes because he knows they haven't seen each other in state of undress and he asks why. She asks if he does and when he doesn't reply immediately, she walks up to him and pulls down his trousers just enough to reveal the scar. Her heart is pounding and she sits down on the side of the bed as she keeps saying 'it's you'
Harry has trouble forming sentences but his gaze flits from her face to her bump. Then he says "it's you?" and she nods and tears start to form in her eyes and he sits down next to her on the bed. Ginny now knows how he felt that night, that it left an impression on him too. She asks if he would kiss her and he does and they're both blushing like mad. He can still feel the ghost of her fingers on his hipbone. with more kisses comes more touches and she ends up dragging him onto the bed properly and before they know it they're both naked and having hot passionate sex and it's as good as the first time but this time she was going to remember all of it.
Harry asks if she's okay a lot in the first minute or so but once he's inside of her, they just lose themselves in each other and it's perfect. He sleeps in her bed that night (which surprises the maid in the morning, she is gone for one day and it finally happened gdi!) with Ginny wrapped in his arms and his hand on her belly
From then on Harry is the doting husband he was always meant to be and they're so adorably in love and he talks to the baby because he's no longer scared to and pats her belly when he thinks no one is looking.
Obviously when the baby is born it becomes very clear that he is in fact that baby's daddy because Potter hair. The proud new grandparents share a look of shock and then accept that those two idiots were always meant to be
