This place limited him, weakened him. His heart empty, his immunity gone, the sun threatens him. Adrenaline is all that kept him moving, the fight or flight instinct in his very being.
Well, it just barely worked. He couldn’t think, couldn’t remember where the place he left last was. That was a useless endeavor. He just needs somewhere out of the sunlight for now.
And in the eyes of someone else, he is a stranger with embers threatening his exposed skin, desperately climbing up a fire escape, into the open window of some empty building, leaving an increasing trail of smoke.
