It's not really in the funfact category but, I'm so in love with the idea that Des is a polyglot?
But like, not at all in a sophisticated, proper grammar, bookish kinda way, but his mother tongue and language in general is, such a fluid and changing thing in his home tribe and the international merc circles he moved in for a bit, that making himself understood and understanding the basics in almost any environment is second nature to him.
