You and your friends decided to do a test of courage on Halloween in an old house at the end of town that was supposed to be haunted. Of course, you wait until dark, because what kind of test of courage would that be in the light?
As soon as it got dark, you went inside with your friends. You went in together and planned to split up there. However, this remained only a plan, as others were afraid to go out on their own.
It was a big old house after all, and you've seen enough horror movies to know that splitting up is always a bad idea.
You all turned on your flashlight and started exploring. There was darkness everywhere, lots of dust and cobwebs. The floor beneath you creaks with every step.
You walked down the main hall and headed up the stairs. You planned to take it systematically from top to bottom. Of course, omit the cellar or only the most daring ones.
As you walked up the stairs, you felt the temperature drop around you and steam left your mouth for a moment. You looked at each other to see if it was really a ghost or what. Immediately, however, the temperature returned to normal.
Here and there you heard the screeching of the floor and walls, but nothing else. It wasn't until you passed the next two rooms that the painting on the wall shook before falling to the ground. Your friend screamed so much at that you thought you went deaf.
As you progressed, objects around you began to move and fall more and more often, and it even happened that the candlestick rose and flew directly at your friend, who missed him by only millimetres.
More screeching noises began to echo through the house as if someone was watching you and whispering around. It felt like someone was there with you.
A light came on in the last room upstairs and a white figure appeared in the doorway. However, the light immediately went out and the figure disappeared with it.
The noise, the movement of the thing and the flashing of the light began to increase in intensity and you took the stairs down almost two at a time.
You immediately headed for the exit when a pale figure appeared in front of you and raised a pitch-black hand towards you. You immediately stopped and headed to the opposite side.
Everything around you was shaking and a male voice carried through the house urging you to leave.
You ran across the living room to the kitchen where the back entrance was supposed to be. You ran through the kitchen as a chill shot through you and you tripped over the raised threshold.
You fell to the ground, but no one noticed in the panic. Maybe also because all the windows and doors were slammed shut.
You scrambled to your feet and noticed that your knees and palms were scraped. You sat on the ground and panted. You didn't expect such an escape. You didn't even notice the white figure appearing next to you.
“You're hurt,” he said, leaning down.
“It's nothing, just a few scratches,” you replied looking at the ghost.
“I guess I got a little carried away,” he replied, scratching the back of his neck before helping you to your feet. He blamed himself for your fall.
“You were amazing. I get the impression they were completely terrified. I was just a little clumsy,” you smiled at him. Even if Desmond was a ghost, he probably wouldn't hurt a fly.
Desmond smiled at you before disappearing, reappearing in a moment with disinfectant and band-aids.
You sat down in the kitchen on a chair and let him treat you. Desmond first applied disinfection to your scrapes and then covered them with plasters. His touch was slightly cold, yet gentle.
"I'll make you your favourite drink for that," he said before walking through the wall into the next room where the old bar was. The alcohol in it was still good though, and Desmond looked after it and kept it kind of clean.
You walked behind him and sat down at the bar. Desmond poured the ingredients into a shaker and started mixing, tossing the shaker around, and it was a bit of a performance. He then poured you a drink and sat across from you.
“My great ghostly bartender,” you said, kissing his cheek. You still wondered a little how it was possible to touch him as a ghost, but neither of you had an answer.
"Just a ghost," he replied dejectedly. You knew he would prefer to be alive again and take you out on a date without any problems.
“It's okay,” you said, smiling at him. You were glad to at least be able to see him, talk to him and touch him. Desmond looked into your eyes and took your hand.
"Are you sure about that?" he asked you hesitantly. You nodded your head in agreement and gave his hand a light squeeze.
Desmond caressed your cheek before leaning in and kissing your lips. It was like a snowflake landed on your lips.
If youd like some requests how about some cute fluff with Desmond Miles (who is totally not dead. I refuse to acknowledge he died. He lived. He just took a break from the bullshit)
YASSSS! He is not dead. No way!
It’s your first christmas on the team and that being said, you wonder if they even know what day it is. All morning you go through the usual routine: physical training on your own, computer training with Rebecca and learning history with Shaun. They made no comment whatsoever about the date and you decided to play it cool in case it was an unspoken rule.
But as you head towards your last lesson of the day, assassinations with Desmond, you can’t help but feel a little sad. Your life has been taken away and ruled by an age old war, you knew nothing would ever be the same again! It’s just, christmas is the one thing you look forward too because people gets so happy and easy going...
“(Y/N)!!” Desmond shouts.
You come to an immediate halt before a bright and twinkling, lopsided christmas tree. Blinking away your dazed look, you glance around and up to find him leaning over a ladder staring at you with a raised brow. You return the look and circle the strange looking tree.
“Um,” you start as you take in the bright and lively side and the ugly, empty backside. “What’s going on?”“It’s christmas!” Desmond beams, placing a crooked handmade star on the tree. “I know not everyone celebrates it, I got other stuff for the other holidays too!”
“Did you decorate this all by yourself?” you watch as he descends the ladder, places it aside and admires his work.
He puffs up his chest at you. “Of course, look at how beautiful it is!”
“It sure is,” you beam at the tree, feeling it lift your spirits already. You feel an arm snake around your waist and a tickle of mistletoe on your forehead as Desmond pulls you in close. “But not as beautiful as you, (Y/N).”
So I have an interesting request that involves Desmond(he needs some love). So he gets injured meets the reader, she helps him out a bit and he just flirts with her. But its just thought sooo...
I love Desmond and you are 100% right, he does need more love.
That was a stupid mistake and Desmond knew it. He can hear Shaun making fun of him now while patching him up. Picking himself off the floor with a grunt, he dusts himself off and limps to the nearest alleyway to get out of sight of any more Templars that may be coming through.
He just wanted to get out of the warehouse for an hour, maybe two. Eating non-microwaved food and catching up on the latest news outside of anything assassin related. That was, obviously, a big mistake as he was surrounded by lower trained templar guards.
They’d managed to get him on the back of his leg, a wound not too deep but it was definitely leaving a trail after him. Breathing heavily, and feeling sick from gorging himself, Desmond sticks to the shadows and uses his Sight to follow a path home.
Exiting an alleyway, he bumps into you, nearly toppling over with enormous effort on his good leg to stay upright. Being a nurse your training kicks in and you’re quick to help him.
“Sir, what happened? Can you tell me your name?” you grab his arms and help him onto the ground. You look around to try and see where his attacker’s went as well as to signal for someone to call the police.
“D-don’t… It’s not safe here,” Desmond hisses in pain as he forces himself to his feet. “I have to go.”“Like hell if you think I’m going to let you walk away,” you try and urge him towards the street but he pulls back with more strength than you expect. “Ok, ok. How can I help?”“I don’t normally ask on the first date, but do you live close by?” Desmond raises a brow at you. Despite the blood and sweat on his face and body, you can’t help but giggle and roll your eyes. “Well, you don’t have a concussion. You look like the kind of man to flirt in any situation. Yeah, you’re lucky I do. Come on.”
It’s not often you let strange and injured men into your home, but you’ve always promised yourself to help those in need. One day that’s going to get you in trouble, but you can’t see yourself stopping anytime soon.
Getting the man into your apartment is a struggle. The bleeding won’t stop and with the way it hurts him, whoever stabbed him probably had a poisoned knife. Not something you see very often, even working the ER, but something you have the right meds for.
“What happened?” you sit him down on your toilet and grab the emergency kit from under the sink. You cut his pant leg while he leans back and lets you work. “The less you know, the safer you are,” he says after a moments pause. His leg looks like a mess, but you’re quick to clean up the wound. He barely flinches at the antiseptic as it covers the wound and hopefully staves off the poisons affects. “You in a gang?” you muse while getting out the tools to stitch the wound closed. He adjusts his leg to give you better access. You wonder how many times he’s been through something like this to make him so well behaved. You glance up as he’s silent, wondering if he heard you. Your eyes meet his golden brown ones and you question if they’re naturally glowing or if you’re going crazy. “Not the ones you’re used to.”
He doesn’t seem to want to talk more after that and you stop asking questions. After all is said and done, you offer him a spare set of clothes left from your brother’s last visit and something to eat and drink. He accepts if only to have the food packed so he can leave. You send him to the spare room to choose from the dresser while heading to the kitchen to make a sandwich and some juice.
It’s silent except for the rain pounding outside. You wonder what could have happened to the others in the fight against this man. He was muscular looking, but not in the heavy lifting sort of way. More in a way that says he fights for a living.
“Do you often let strangers in your home?” Desmond rounds the corner and you stare at him. He chose a navy blue shirt that fit his body well, and complimented his olive skin too. He’s wearing black sweatpants and holding his white and red hoodie in hand.
You grin and shake your head. “Only handsome strangers.”“Good thing they didn’t get my face, then,” he snorts and accepts the wrapped up ham sandwich and bottle of fruit juice. “I appreciate what you did. Do you promise not to call the cops?”“Look, I’m a nurse in this city. I can’t say I do this often, but I know a gang fight when I see it. As long as neither side comes after me, we’re good,” you cross your arms and grin. “Unless it’s going to be you coming back.”
Can I please request some sappy 'the moment they know they were in love" kinda thing with Desmond, Jacob ang Connor? I'm in a supper sappy mood. Thanks a bunch!!
I will do my best!
Desmond
You’d been friends for the longest time, since he moved to your town and knew nothing about where anything is. You helped him get a job as a bartender and encouraged him to just live. It was the first time he had been able to do anything without any Assassin mantra going through his mind.
When he was being attacked by Abstergo, you were there when he was safe. You welcomed him to the base with Shaun and Rebecca. You treated him like nothing had happened and even though he had a lot to tell you, he was relieved you weren’t asking questions. He looked at you and knew he could handle everything coming this way because you two are a team.
Jacob
Evie was pissing him off again and you were the first thought in his mind. Not even a fight could blow off this steam, or a stop at the pub. Instead, he made a bee line to your place.
You were a new recruit and you understood him. He didn’t want to think too much into it, god knows Evie has done that enough. But you were safe for him and that’s all he needs when he gets overcome like this. Emotions aren’t his strong suit.
When he gets to your place, the aroma coming from your kitchen has his mouth watering as he lets himself in. You were standing there, a smudge of sauce on your cheek, your hair in a bun and a smile on your face. You greeted him with some water and a chunk of steak to try and he knew he was home.
Connor
You were an up and coming assassin when the two of you met. In the few months of training, the two of you had gotten close. The homestead was your home and everyone loved you.
The two of you were on a mission and it was going as smooth as butter. Your skills were coming along well and he was glowing with pride. The objective was obtained and that meant you two could finally come home. After weeks of sitting and waiting around for you target, you were ready for a nice long bath and a home cooked meal.
However, when you got home you took care of Connor’s wounds first. Idiot always does reckless things to keep you safe and you were giving him an earful. He was watching you get worked up about it while treating him with the softest touch. In spite of everything he can do and everything you’ve seen him do, you always treated him with utmost care and that’s all he could ever ask for.
Not knowing what would happen in the future was taking a toll on everyone. The general mood was somewhat dampened, only Shaun kept being his sarcastic self. Rebecca kept to herself, actually staying silent this time, typing away on her computer in the far corner of the cave. William was not even present, probably skulking outside and thinking what to do with the acquired knowledge. The thing was - Juno’s words turned everything upside down. She said that Earth was in danger. From solar flares out of all things! You didn’t bother denying the oncoming ‘apocalypse’ though - the words of the Isu had to be heeded because that’s how their civilization was destroyed.
When you felt like you’ve had enough of sitting in the cave, you walked outside and started trudging along the path leading on top of the cliff. You had a feeling that you’d find Desmond there - the man who would soon lose his life for something he never wanted to be involved in the first place, the man you loved with everything you had. Ever since the two of you entered the Animus, you have been inseparable, both your ancestors finding solace and love in each other’s arms.
Desmond was laying on his back and watching the starry sky above. How can something small appear so beautiful? He’d never find the answer to that question. Suddenly, he heard a pair of feet approaching.
“What, you didn’t stay to enjoy the music we call ‘silence’”?
“Nah, didn’t want to bother anyone, not after we heard her.” You layed on the ground beside him and took his hand in yours, intertwining your fingers. When you heard the sadness in his voice, you couldn’t help but lose a bit of hope for the future yourself. Nothing was certain now. Not the future. Not Desmond’s life. Not even you.
“Yes, can’t help but start to lose hope myself, Des. I don’t want to die because of a damn apocalypse or a Templar’s bullet! I want to see the end of my life on my own terms,” you firmly told him. He only squeezed your hand in response.
While the situation wasn’t by all means a happy one, and you didn’t know what to look forward to, you knew that you had him and the rest of your small family to get you all through this. You had to stay strong.
Taglist (feel free to ask me to add/remove you (from) here):
54) your soulmates current thoughts about you show up on your skin for a short while with Desmond, please?
Yeeeesssss. With Desmond, when he dies, the last thing he thought of you stays tattooed on your skin because I like to headcanon painful things.
I miss you…
You glance at the words sprawled across your forearm in a lovely script. You couldn’t help but smile as you stocked up on supplies for the base with Rebecca. The afternoon light casts the two of you in shadow as you leave the corner store with bags full of food, drinks, the news and more.
“Desmond is such a softie,” Rebecca laughs at the words. “Who would have thought?”“I’ve always known it,” you smirk while checking the area. Your mind sings praises back to Desmond, telling him your safe, that you miss him and you’ll see him soon.
You two couldn’t be together physically, so this was a good way to keep yourself sane while knowing he is safe. Most times its stuff he likes to tell you that you’re pretty and that you are more beautiful than Caterina Sforza. It stuff that makes your eye roll. You usually tell him the same thing and it often gets him de-synched with the animus.
But it’s the most that you have left with him these days and, honestly, better than nothing.
Its the dessy Anon again! Can i request Desmond soulmate au with 15?
15. Your soulmate’s scars appear on your body (and vise versa).
“It’s like looking in a mirror,” Desmond comments as he traces the imitation lip scar on your lip with his thumb.
The shock of finding each other so suddenly was the highlight of your day. You had gotten a new scar after fighting a guard off of him at the abstergo compound he was kept in. After Rebecca fixed you up and it healed as much as it could, Desmond couldn’t help but strip to show you all your own scars on his body. You cleaned the makeup off your face and showed him his on yours.
He was hurt that you knew and didn’t say anything, but it subsided after a talk about safety. Now he’s just amazed and you aren’t going to complain about him feeling you up.
“One that makes you look sexier than you are,” you retort with a grin. “Hey!”
Oh, I'm sorry! My prompt was where your soulmate gets a scar, you get a flower with Desmond, please 😊
35. You get flowered tattoos wherever your soulmate receives a scar.
Omg, yesss!!! Thanks for resending it in with the prompt!!! <3
Whatever God or Being out there that made this rule in life was going to get strangled by you when you died. A scar on your soulmate’s body made flowers appear on the other? Who thought that was a good idea?
Sure it’s cool when it’s flowers on your back, or your shoulder and legs. But when it’s your face, boy, is your soulmate going to get an earful when you meet them.
You waste lots of makeup everyday covering up the little yellow flower tattoo on your mouth. Your mouth! You’re not sure what your soulmate did, but you hope it was worth it.
They got off lucky, the only scar you have is on your elbow. It’s a jagged mark running up your tricep. It came from a barbed fence, one you were climbing in your teens for a stupid stunt.
“(Y/N), are you ready yet?” your friend calls from downstairs. You guys are going out tonight, pre-gaming at a nearby bar before heading to the clubs. A good friend of yours is meeting you there and you can’t wait to see him.
Rolling your eyes you smear on more concealer to cover the damned flower before rushing down the stairs. “I had to cover up my hippy tat.” It’s the name your parents gave it when you were growing up. It ended any love of flowers you had growing up.
Your friend laughs before grabbing your hand and pull you outside. The rest of your friend group is in the car waiting, music is bumping and their voices are hoarse from singing and shouting. You join in on the fun until the car stops at the bar. The group piles out and you’re the first one in.
You stumble over the threshold, colliding with a solid figure that grasps your arms. “Whoa there, sweetheart. I can’t give you any drinks if you’re falling already, you know.”Glancing upwards, your face is met with a scar… on the lips. You gasp in shock and clutch the man right back and gasp. “It’s you!”“Uh, yeah?” he tries to feign recognition. You laugh and jab a finger in his chest. “You have a lot of explaining to do. That scar has gotten me in trouble for most of my life.”He realizes what you mean and laughs. “I assume you’ll need to be reimbursed for the makeup?”“Maybe a few drinks will cover it.”
