The Kabagon is a seal-like creature spotted by a Japanese fishing boat in New Zealand in 1974. The Kabagon is described as a giant seal-like creature however when it was spotted only its head was seen and it was 1.5 meters tall with wrinkly gray skin, big red eyes, and two large nostrils. The Kabagon was spotted by the crew of the Japanese fishing ship known as the Konpiramaru and they later reported their sighting and the New Zealand Weekly Magazine found odd footprints where the fishing ship had their sighting. Many people believe that it was just a misidentified pinniped while others believe that it could be a surviving Desmostylidae or a new creature all together.
