The first in my next series of character art from our cowboy campaign; The Man in Black was our warlock's patron. @bailsebub sent over an awesome description of him when we started the game and I was so excited to play around with a character that was up to No Good™.
The final encounter our player's had with him was one of my most nerve-wracking to make and also the one I'm the most proud of. I knew I wanted it to be really scary which was a challenge for our high-level party. He ended up being a really nasty piece of work and I was changing the stat block on the fly a lot to keep the encounter high stress but not TPK (at least right away). This block is pretty close to what I ended up using through a majority of the fight.
