"Are you monologuing in your head?" A voice questioned, causing a young brunet to look up with an almost bored expression. The owner of the voice had pink hair and a large weapon on his back. The weapon looked like it had just been used, but the brunet to huff. Not showing any fear despite the fact it was being carelessly shoved to close to him.
Guess I should introduce myself, my name is Makoto Naegi. I'm part of a group called the Ultimate Despairs and in fact we're the ones that helped fuck up this world! Well considering my original title was Ultimate Luck I guess it's more exciting. The one that is annoying me with a weapon in my face is Kazuichi Soda, originally the Ultimate Mechanic. Kazuichi expression of curiosity changed to surprise then annoyance at my response. Usually I was much nicer and 'cute' but just wasn't feeling it, and he seemed ready to strike me.
Quickly I ducked my head just in time to avoid being knocked out by the weapon and shot to my feet. Thankful for being short at the moment as he was a bit off balance.
"Geeze, sorry! No need to get so emotional about that, I have my way of coping with insanity." I replied, with a bright seemingly innocent smile on my face. Which only seemed to frustrate him even more but he backed off for now. Listening as he clicked his tongue and turns to leave me to my thoughts. Not even bothering to continue the conversation with his underclassmen.
"Oh, well alright then." Didn't even phase me when he left, as I didn't exactly mingle much with the other despairs. Not that I couldn't but there were some extreme conflict of ideals here. Even though I am part of the Ultimate Despairs can't really say I've fully PART of them. After all I still hope for it to eventually end and that this will pave way to a better age. But that's just me and it's kind of hard to explain it really.
Let's just say that sure I might be a bit messed up but I really do believe in hope. Which is something Junko hates with a passion no matter how much she tries to convert me fully. Guess that's why I feel like an outcast among the others as I'm not fully into despair like them. While I'm simply amazed I'm not dead, but I don't think you guys are here to listen to me monologue now are you?
After a brief pause I began to follow where the Ultimate Mechanic went only to spot another Ultmate Despair. A loud and cheerful cry could be heard sounding almost like a beast with prey. The sight of the once Ultimate Gymnastic could be seen with a dead body at her feet. Hands bloodied and you could slowly deduce what exactly happened. Though when I accidentally locked eyes with her, well it seems I accidentally caught her attention.
Suddenly freezing up, as I saw her show a wide grin and she ran toward me at the speed of a cheetah. I barely had a chance to react before her hands were on my neck. Causing me to gasp as she squeezed and lifted me up. Instinctively I tried to kick but was cursing my short stature thankfully she seemed to finally recognize who i was and dropped me me. "Oh it's just you, man you should be careful almost tore out your jugular. Hah! Junko would have been so annoyed at losing a you like that!"
"Yeah thanks for not doing that." I grumbled to myself, though she didn't seem to notice as she went off and leaves without a word. Wondering how I got into this mess and simply letting out a long sight. Turning my gaze to the sky that seemed to be covered in dark clouds. The sound of screaming still going like a lullaby,
"The killing gonna start soon... I better get going." I mused as I picked up the pace to rush over to the Hope's peak Academy. Knowing that if he's to late the plan would be changed without him,
"A hero's always on time."
