It's me I'm the person who wants more about Battat is Dess' die. I saw your posts mentioning it and I've just. Ahhhhh. It consumes my thoughts it's such a fun idea

HI HELLO I AM UNWELL ABOUT MY DESS DICE CONSPIRACY. Under the cut because holy crap I do not shut up.

Because it's implied through Asriel's OC on him computer that he might've played some version of DND (or just any TTRPG). Which would have involved dice. We know that he was almost 100% friends with Dess, and, I don't know about you guys but I make my friends play TTRPG's with me against their wills, and I feel like Noelle, Kris, Asriel and Dess have all played it together.

Big part of TTRPG's are the dice, this could explain why there are a strange amount of Pippin's in TV World (like, more than Card Kingdom strangely) so that's also a point of evidence towards the DND theory.

Now for Battat himself. Looking at his name, it's "BAT-tat" like perhaps a whiffle bat, like the one Dess was known to use?

Looping back to the Holidays, Noelle made FRIEND in Cat Petterz and might've possibly shown it to Dess (iirc we were never given a time frame of WHEN FRIEND was hatched) which, I imagine your younger sister showing you a strange, glitchy cat in a video game, would be really puzzling, which may have rubbed off on Battat (since I am a FRIEND is "Mike" truther) in a similar way Ramb is more dog-like because of his relation to Kris, causing his fascination with Mike/FRIEND.

There is also how he seems pretty... isolated from the other Pippinses? And is showing early signs of shadow-bossery. He is also notably, a different color. I don't see why you would JUST recolor a Pippins and not a Shadowguy and Zapper as well for the Mikes if Battat wasn't more special. His isolation and distinction could be a parallel to Dess being trapped in the shelter and LITERALLY isolated.

If Battat IS being isolated (most likely by FRIEND) and this was supposed to be a parallel to Dess... we'd need someone to play the role of Kris right? And a "not being able to save them thing" if only there was a suspiciously Kris-themed person ALSO in TV World who ALSO showed early signs of shadow-bossery... (I am talking about Ramb)

There is the obvious freedom motif as well. The Knight drops a shadow crystal. Maybe he gets one as well. We really don't know that for sure (Fun fact! He DOESN'T have the Mike motif for some reason?? People WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THAT but that's another post) BUT we can now actually say he stole The Knight's freedom motif which is really really funny.

Isolation also seems to be something that draws all the shadow bosses together. Jevil was locked up, Spamton was ignored eventually, The Knight (who, assuming they are Dess) is presumed dead/missing, Gerson just Is Dead. Battat would fall perfectly in line, and I'd place him at "Driven insane and locked HIMSELF in the Mike room" (ohhhh my fic Battat your gonna have so much fun in the next few chapters)

Finally, my last bit of evidence is my FAVORITE I love talking about this one. It's the note that shows up next to the door when you beat the Mikes and get their minigames unlocked

Don't do what Battat. Don't do what. That phrase associated with a very certain character. Yeah. Why did you use those words specifically.

The room does not re-lock there is NO REASON for this to exist from a game point perspective. I think this is foreshadowing, personally.

Battat is going to have SOMETHING happen to him. It has to mean SOMETHING. You don't have the freedom motif, FRIEND, a recoloring, and Don't forget associated with you and JUST be a one off character. He and Ramb are REALLY LIKELY to become secret bosses in my biased opinion. If I had to take a guess I'd say Battat is chapter 6 and Ramb is chapter 7 (although now that I think off it it could very well work the other way around) BUT that's another post if anyone wants it.

also it would actually make more sense if battat is actually an extremely lucky dice since he's managed to pull off pretending to be tenna's closest assistant for so long with just two guys helping out and with vauge, little to no concrete info about mike

mike to tenna might actually be on par with what swatch is to queen, a loyal butler or assistant always at their beck and call, so pretending to be mike at all with tenna might actually be a much more riskier gamble than what it seems to be on the surface

because if battat really is hated by the other pippinses, wouldn't you think they'd try to rat him out to tenna if they're the ones who find out that the same green pippins that they collectively hate so much is easily becoming tenna's favorite employee simply by just playing pretend?

I think this is what battat meant when he said 'If everyone found out that there's more than one mike, everyone would want to be mike!' because any pippinses, or actually any darkner in tv world who have an envious, sycophant-like behaviour (sycophant, meaning a person who acts obsequiously towards someone important in order to gain advantage) might actually try to either do the same 'impersonate mike' trick to replace the current fake mike trio or do everything in their power to expose them to tenna

battat's extreme luck is probably the reason why he, jongler, and pluey were able to pull off pretending to be mike for so long without getting caught, unless you're going with the 'tenna actually knows the mikes are fake but decides to play along for some reason' hc but that idea also makes battat somewhat even more luckier and special, it's like that feeling of being the chosen one, I think?

imagine tenna seeing fake mike, knows that it's that one single off colored green pippins, and perhaps though 'oh! are they trying to fit in by pretending be someone like me?' which led tenna to be reminded of kris and their red horned head band, and pretty much decided to play along with battat because of that

ALL OF THIS IS REALLY REALLY GOOD AND MAKE SENSE!!! Adding to this, assuming FRIEND is Mike, it could explain WHY FRIEND shows up in his minigame!! He's lucky enough to SEE 'Mike' but he doesn't actually know!! Or, something I dunno. 'Mike' being Tenna's Swatch checks out when you take into account Spamton who has a connection to all four of those characters.

Also imagine just 5000 Mikes. More Mike's than normal staff. Thank you for your time.

The cool thing about the Mikes is that only Battat cares about solving the mystery of what’s going on with the original Mike and if Dess Dice is true than it’s likely that Dess had something similar (maybe with the shelter) BUUUUT pinning down Jongler and Pluey is a lot more finicky. I’ll say Pluey is Kris since the ties to FRIEND and being nonverbal and I GUESS Jongler as Asriel? Since we don’t have a place to sort them into cleanly. That ALSO raises the question of who Noelle would be in this situation and tbh it’s probably FRIEND since Noelle did MAKE it in Cat Petterz and is most likely the angel in the prophecy and the whole “they will banish the angel’s heaven” and “the tail of hell will take crawl” both seem similar to me. I don’t think FRIEND will have any part in whatever “banishing the angel’s heaven” will be (at least not yet, need more info on it personally) but it will have that tie to Noelle for the whole game. There’s also “HELLS ROAR WILL BUBBLE FROM THE DEPTHS.” Which is. Certainly interesting in a post “tail of hell” world. A cat BEING from the depths (which is something water-relates) is very, very interesting to say the least.
