please talk about super forward cas and flustered dean more im All Ears
Sorry this took forever 😭I typed out a bunch and it got erased so ! I didn’t do this justice but it’s one of my fav things. Cas just puts lewd things so elegantly and Dean cannot process the filth coming from an angel 👀his angel.
Then I just stared rambling ! (Now I want to make a collection on fan fic quotes with sources! )
Castiel had absolutely no reservations on speaking his mind, and why would he ? These were mearly observations, the truth.
And poor Dean.....
Cas knew what he was doing to him...making Dean short circuit at the drop of a hat well more accurately an unexpected comment or declaration.
Dean knew the cocky bastard would do it on purpose , not only to get his reactions... but to simply let it be known. Dean wasn’t sure which one was more blush enducing.
And of course
Castiel knew Dean (not so secretly ) loved the praise.

This has all been said before so I don't really have anything new to add, but I have to say this. Nothing...no story that I have heard or probably will ever hear...nothing compares to Destiel. We say all the time how it's "the greatest love story ever told" and it absolutely is. And part of that is because of just how TRAGIC it all is. Like, I tried to compare it to the most well-known tragic love story of all time: Romeo and Juliet. But Destiel so far surpasses them it's almost humorous. Like, Dean and Cas are like if Romeo and Juliet had known each other for 12 years and had pined after each other without knowing their feelings were returned, and they saved each other over and over, and were the best of friends content to love each other from afar and ask nothing more of each other because they thought they could never have more, and then just before their deaths they find out they could've had each other all along but it's too late (oh, and they adopted a child together!...fucking insane). Like...they don't even compare (although it is interesting how both stories ended with one *supposedly* dying so the other gives up and dies, and then we find out the first was alive...like fuck me man.).
I can confidently say that I am obsessed with Destiel. No other pairing can compare. The only other pairings that (in my mind) come even CLOSE to the epicness of the Destiel Tragedy are Claire/Jamie (Outlander) and Kagome/Inuyasha (Inuyasha) because those pairings defied TIME and had to struggle through epic stories of politics and wars and understanding the supernatural. Before becoming a hardcore Destiheller, these were my OTPs. They made me believe in epic romances that have the strength to overcome any obstacle. They are beautiful stories and are still very close to my heart. But even still, Destiel blows them out of the water!
I think part of the reason for this is the duality in the Destiel relationship. There are epic highs and lows and sometimes those exist simultaneously. Every moment between them is laced with both unfathomable love and unbearable pain. Every time something seems to go their way, they discover it was all just the still before the storm. And these still moments never last long enough for them to take advantage. They are constantly drawn to each other while being ripped apart. Not to mention the betrayals and mistakes each of them have made, how much they have hurt each other out of fear, anger, or misguided attempts to put things right. They are both such complex characters who are constantly learning from each other, changing each other for better or worse. And changing the world...
The other reason no other story will ever compare to Destiel, no matter how epic or incredible: Destiel defied the story's own authors. It was never supposed to exist! It is the only romance (that I know of) that exists DESPITE the efforts of some of the authors to kill it. Because of the inherent chemistry between these characters (and Misha himself has said that the chemistry between Dean and Cas is something he felt during their scenes, meaning it's something outside of his chemistry with Jensen) and because the unique relationship between the show and fandom, Destiel grew organically until it was impossible to ignore. Even when scenes weren't written as romantic, Destiel shone through so clearly that it couldn't be edited away. They tried, but these characters in many ways had a mind of their own. And I think that's because Misha and Jensen worked so hard to understand their characters as separate entities from themselves, so in a lot of ways the characters became real and began making their own decisions through Misha and Jensen. Destiel exists because it just IS. Outside of what is written (both by our writers AND by Chuck), Destiel came to be. And that is just so unexplainably beautiful that I will never recover.
Destiel is the greatest love story ever told because it has everything and more. Nothing will ever compare. And I will forever be obsessed with Destiel, proudly 💙💚

Cas watches S1 Dean with a heavy heart.
Hey there, how are you?? Sorry for disturbing, but i wanted to request your 10 favorite destiel moments, and your opinion about each one! Im sorry, its a lot to ask, but i'd love to know! Dont feel obligated to answer! Thank you, i love your blog 💕
Thank you :)
This ended up being in chronological order…
This moment in 5x03 - Free to be You and Me:
This is the episode I started to ship Destiel. Up to this point, everything was just building. They had to learn to trust each other. But this moment right here made me stop and go !!!!!
Yes, it’s right after Dean tried to hook Cas up with a woman at a strip club. But the reason I love it so much is because of Dean’s smile here. After hell, Dean so rarely smiled. He even said that he hasn’t laughed that hard in…it’s been too long. And with the Apocalypse, and Lucifer being released from the cage, and the prior season of Sam and demon blood, Dean had so much to worry about. But alongside Cas, he was just able to let a few walls down and be happy…for once in ages. Also Dean’s hand on Cas’s shoulder…When has Dean touched Cas before that moment? In a friendly gesture, anyway.
Also, that episode in it’s entirety is amazing. Cas going to Dean for help because Dean is the only one who will help him. Dean and Cas on a hunt together. Dean and Cas defeating Raphael. I’m sure people have written a whole lot more about that episode…But it’s the episode I officially started shipping them.
This moment in 5x04 - The End:
Dean went to the future. He saw how horrible things might become. He saw how broken end!verse Cas was. But then present day Castiel saved him from Zachariah. And he tells Castiel to never change. This moment is Dean’s realization and confession that he likes Castiel, just the way he is. Personal-space-violating, doesn’t-quite-understand-humanity, socially-awkward-angel that he is. It’s not love or anything like that, not yet. But it is a step to developing their relationship.
6x20 - The Man Who Would Be King
Castiel’s line about how “I still considered myself the Winchesters’ guardian. After all…they taught me how to stand up…What to stand for…And what generally happens to you when you do.”
Already, Castiel has chosen to help the Winchesters several times against heaven’s wishes. Arguably, he did it because of Dean in particular. His relationship with Sam is not as developed as his relationship with Dean.
This episode, we learn just what Castiel has been doing all of season 6. And what his motivations were. To protect the Winchesters, and stop Raphael from restarting the apocalypse that the Winchesters works so hard to stop. Now the episode also had the part where Castiel watched Dean rake leaves (and fans like to point to that), but what was significant about that is Castiel didn’t want to drag Dean back into the mess, the war in heaven against the apocalypse, because he saw that Dean was happy with Lisa. And interestingly enough, I’m sort of jumping ahead of myself, Castiel’s goal has always and will continue to be to save Dean Winchester. So when he saw that Dean was living a normal, safe life, he didn’t want to interrupt him.
This response ended up being really long…s11 spoilers at the end
I used to love Supernatural, literally my fave show. But s9 and 10 have really killed it for me. The only reason why I bother with it now is the thought of Destiel potentially happening. But even my enthusiasm for that is waning considering it will never go canon.
That’s what the fandom isfor :) Honestly, the fandom does Destiel so much better than the show evercould. All the fanart, and fanfics? Amazing.
I will preface this wholeresponse with how personally I don’t ship them as a romantic or sexual couplein canon. In fanon, hells yeah. In canon, no. But what they do have, that whole“profound bond”, is so damn important.
I enjoyed season 9 (part ofthat is because it was my first season watching it live alongside the fandom),but season 10…it was a struggle to watch. And then the last few episodes justkind of destroyed any saving grace the season may have had.
But I will still argue thatDestiel was present:
9x01 - Dean immediately forgave Cas in a prayer about the angels falling. And he wanted Cas to come back. And when Cas finally does call, and Dean hears that he is human, he tells Cas that Cas needs to be careful and look out for himself until he can reach the bunker. He was really worried
9x03 - Dean was determined to find Cas. And he is devastated when he finds Cas dead (I hesitated on adding this episode because the circumstances surrounding his death are horribly disgusting, but the episode is important for DeanCas despite that)
9x06 - A full episode ofDean and Cas. Dean practically pining after Cas when he is watching him from afar. Cas acting like a jilted lover. I do hope we get another DeanCas episode.
((There are other moments in episodes between here and 9x22 but I won’t bother bringing them up))
9x22 - Cas gave up hisangel army for Dean
9x23 - Cas went up againstMetatron to try and save Dean
10x01 (and onward) Casprioritized saving Dean over saving himself (his fading grace was killing him)
10x07 - Dean acknowledge that “the people that love me…they pulled meback from the edge.” He was referring to Sam AND Cas
10x10 - Cas risked lettingMetatron out of jail to see if he knew how to cure Dean
10x14 - When Cain says thathe will eventually kill Dean, Cas pulls out his angel blade. He’s letting Cainknow that he will fight to protect Dean (even though they both know Cas doesn’tstand a chance)
10x14 - Cain tells Deanthat killing Cas, he suspects, would hurt something awful. He literally justmet Castiel (right?), but can already tell that Dean Winchester is veryimportant to that angel and vise versa
10x14 - Dean gave Castielthe first blade.
10x17 - Cas broke Metatronout of Heaven to try and see if he really knew how to cure Dean. Cas wouldn’teven let Metatron out to get his grace back (Metatron offered in an earlierepisode in season 10, and Cas said hell no. But if letting Metatron out meanthelping Dean? Then yes, sign Cas up)
10x19 - Dean’s subconsciouscalls Dean out on his greatest fears: hurting Sam and hurting Cas
10x22 - Castiel refused tofight back against Dean, because he believed it wasn’t Dean, and he would getDean back (according to Misha. And I really like that reading.)
10x22 - In that same sceneprior the fight, Cas basically told Dean that he would watch over him forcenturies, no matter what Dean became. Cas also acknowledged that Dean loveshim “Everyone you love…they could be long dead. Everyone except me.”
10x23 - Dean literally passes out from drinking (and honestly, how much alcohol would that take for Dean), and when he wakes up he destroys the motel room because he feels guilty over Cas
I mean, the entirety ofseason 10 had Cas on the sidelines. BUT CAS PRIORITIZED SAVING DEAN OVER EVERYTHING.So even though their interactions were sparse and disappointing (if they giveme one more passing shoulder pat, I will throw something), the fact that Cas’smain goal was still saving Dean, and that he cared so much about Dean even when he hadhis own problems, just screams Destiel.
And with the new season… I wasalready worried that Dean wouldn’t care about Cas and just jump straight totalking about the Darkness, but his main concern was making sure Cas was okaywhen he heard that Cas didn’t sound right. And the relief in Castiel’s eyes when he heard that the Mark of Cain was gone…that Dean was back. And then the later line about how “We can’t save Cas if we’re stuck in some hospital”. Dean does care.
WhatDestiel has…is not a kiss. Anyone can kiss. Most shows have to have characters kissfor you to know they care about each other. Destiel doesn’t need that. WhatDestiel has is so much more.
