Climbing to the top- Chapter one

A squadron of fallen had been patrolling their area they were stationed in their kell’s territory. A vandal was watching the lake when he spotted a smoking ship it was a guardian ship much to their surprise. “<May I scout the ship?>” The much smaller vandal asked their much larger captain. The captain gives the vandal the order and the vandal crept to the still smoking ship. He could feel the heat waves still coming off of it. But the unexpected stench of rotting flesh hit him like a train; he saw a rotting corpse and an unconscious woman clutching a ghost. Now this vandal was scorned in his house for being too soft and merciful. This little vandal didn’t care about what the others said as long as he did his job; protect the house and its occupants. So when he saw this woman he walked over to the form and picked it up. He took his mask off and rests his head against her chest. He heard the faint sound of her heart beat; it was strange for him since there was only one instead of two. He didn’t want this poor creature to die here it felt wrong to him so with that he hoisted her over his shoulder. When he came out the captain snarled loudly at the image of his vandal carrying a given over his shoulder. “<What is that given doing with you!!> The captain roared with anger causing the dregs to cower in fear. The vandal shook a little but composed himself and spoke after his captain’s outburst. “<She could be of use to us, the given could give us information about the tower…>” The captain paused for a bit and nods softly. “<Very well… she is your problem to deal with Arkel…>” They moved onward going back to their patrol. The dregs curious about their new found house member poked at the form as she lay unconscious over their vandal’s shoulder. The woman groaned loudly and the entire group stopped to an abrupt halt. When she woke, she wiggled around trying to ground herself. “Put me down please!” She said with a grunt. The vandal understanding the word ‘put down’ did so with extreme care. The dregs and captain aimed their firearms at her ready for her to attack. “<Please don’t shoot! I mean no harm!>” She yelled out in eliksni. The captain charged her and picked her up by the neck. “<Who taught you our language given!>” the captain snarled loudly crushing her neck. “<V-Variks…the loyal gave me l-lessons!>” She said while clawing at his claw while he held onto her neck. The captain laughed out loud. “<That traitor!? He is a disgrace to our race...living among the give like they his kind>” He growled with anger. Pandora’s ghost whirred and watched the captain closely. The Captain put the awoken woman down and they continued their patrol. Pandora was at the back of their party talking to her ghost. “Are you sure we can trust them Pandora? After what the captain just did to you?”  Pandora gave her ghost a quick nod “If they wanted me dead they would’ve killed me already” Her ghost squinted at her and her new found friend trailed back to her. Later they trailed back to the ketch, heading to the throne room that held their kell. The kell to the House of Kings was none other than Craask, a battle scarred eliksni that ruled the house with an iron fist.      He sat up seeing the captain walk up to him and kneel, seeing Pandora walked over to the captain’s side kneeling down as well. “<What have you brought with you on your patrol captain>” The kell snarled looking at the tall woman. She hung her head not making any eye contact in fear of being killed for disrespecting the kell. “<We have brought you a gift…this given is at your disposal my kell>” With this Craask stood from his seat lumbering over to the duo with a glint of curiosity in his eyes. “<She speaks and understands our language as well my kell>” The captain added while Craask stared down at Pandora’s form. Soft. Weak. He thought to himself, he blew out the waste of ether he consumed into the woman’s face. “<Look at me>” Craask demanded of Pandora. Her response was quick as she looked into the eyes of the giant creature. “<Yes my kell>” The kell roared with laughter as she said those words. “<She speaks our tongue! And how good are her fighting skills!?>” He questioned as he brought Pandora to her feet. Trying not to sound cocky she answered his question. “< I’m very skilled in battle… I’ve dealt with very powerful enemies like the taken and other eliksni >” Arkel rushed in worried that his kell was going to kill her. “<Wait! My kell! Please don’t kill her!>” Arkel knelt down in respect. “<Please she could be of use to the house!>” Which was a lie in his words, he just wanted to keep her. Arkel was like a wolf claiming their part of the kill so others won’t eat it. “<If you want her to stay… let her prove herself that she is worthy of residing in this house Arkel>” Arkel passed her his shock blades as Craask pulled his out of their sheathes and before Arkel could blink the battle had begun. He was surprised at this woman’s strength, she did very powerful kicks making the kell fall backwards. The battle lasted an hour and ended in a tie, Craask made his decision that he’d let her join the house. “<You’ve proven yourself…. But you’ll earn your place…. Place her with the vandals>” When the kell said this Arkel’s eyes lit up with happiness. “<Thank you my kell…I will show my loyalty to you and this house>” The kell chuckled and watched as the trio dismissed themselves.

Personality: She is a battle hardened woman,putting her people and family before herself. She is stern to most soldiers in her house or in the tower,but she is very funny and easygoing when around with family and friends.When approaching a potential deal with allies such as kells she uses her ladylike charm to seduce them into making deals with her and her house. Pandora does also have a soft spot for sweets and babies.

Bit of bio:Pandora was born into a military family,most of her relatives serving the  reef,but she had a dream to be a guardian. She trained endlessly and stumbled across a ghost (whom she named Hermes) earning her place as a guardian. Later on she met a younger Zavala,falling madly in love with each other and eventually having their daughter Diana. After three years of grief after losing their daughter in battle she left and being on the verge of death she was taken in by the house of kings where she climbs her way to the top to be a reaver captain. Eventually she gathered a group of soldiers (two of each rank)and three females,and one servitor where they built the House of Shadows.

Backstory:  Arkel was king born, like most of his brothers and sisters he trained to clmb up the ranks of their house.He was shunned by most of his fellow eliksni due to his weakness and how merciful he can be to creatures that are very vulnerable compared to him When he was a vandal he came across the nearly dead Pandora and nursed her back to health, begging the kell(Craask) to let her reside with them. Later on he teamed up with Pandora and a group of fallen to build the House of Shadows,being the close friend of Pandora he became a kell's guard where he vows he'll protect her with his life.
